I polished it to 5,000 out of the box and wasn't real impressed with it's reaction, if you stayed in the dry it over-reacted and if you kept it in the oil it was pretty decent. The ball did however hit like nothing I have seen, carried the pins like a Storm by keeping them low to the deck. This was on a wore down shot left by the first league so don't give it too much attention, when I come in tomorrow and throw on fresh I am sure it will react better. To me the ball was fairly weak with polish and had a truer reaction in the oil, when swung out to dry it seemed to pick up the roll too soon.

Another good ball by Track but only on fresh oil.

Give me back the Reactives and stop all this Mica

After putting out some fresh oil I have found this ball to be an asset to my arsenal. If your looking for something to play on fresh oil this ball is great, it does not have an easy push to the right (even polished) but it does have a little length and a pop on the back. Stay away from burnt lanes with this one or just dry ones this in my opinion works on oil only.

THIS CHAMP IS NO CHUMP HERE. MY CHAMP HAD A TOP WEIGHT OF 2 3/4 OZ AND A

A PIN OF 2-3". HAD IT DRILLED 3 3/8 STACKED LEVERAGE PIN AT 12:00 AND TRIED

IT ON A MEDIUM TO OILY CONDITION AND BOY DID THAT BALL HOOK AND SHREDDED

THE PINS. THE CHAMP HOOKS A LITTLE MORE IN THE BACKEND THAN THE CONTENDER.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BALL IF YOU LIKE TO STAND LEFT ON THE APPROACH AND

LIKE TO OPEN UP THE LANES.

I have owned the Track Champ since the day it arrived at the local pro shop.  The guy that drills the balls watches your style and drill accordingly.  My Champ has a 3-4 pin with a 4.5oz top weight.  I recieved a standard #2 drilling.  It took me about 8 games to get the ball to the point where I could keep it on the lane, it still has the original sheen finish.  I bowl a double shift on Wednesdays ans at our house the shot is layed at about noon and is untouched for the whole night, open bowling or not.  I stand on an average of 5 board outside the final dot to the left and throw over third arrow and it has no problem coming in strong, I can throw the ball usually all six games of league and not have it burn up, what a ball.  I own the Champ, Contender, and TKO not, but I also owned the KO Punch, and Elite and there is no comparison the Champ is the best Track ball made.

FIRST OF ALL GREAT BALL.  I'VE REALLY NEVER HAD A BALL ROLL SO EARLY AND STILL CAME BACK WITH THE FORCE THAT THE CHAMP DOES.  I HIT THIS BALL WITH SOME PROTRACTION BALL JUST TO GET A LITTLE MORE SKID AND MORE FINISH. MY FIRST SIX GAMES WERE 248 265 279 279 257 249. THIS BALL CARRIES BETTER THAN ANYTHING I'VE EVER THROWN.  I'VE SINCE DRILLED UP TWO MORE. THIS BALL IS AWSOME

I have had the Champ for about 2 months now. I have only been able to use it in one tournament. A 6 gamer with a flat heavy oil pattern through the pin deck. The only balls scoring for the first 4 and a half games were Proactives (Champs, Contenders, and both the Chaos balls). I was using the Champ and qualified 2nd before winning. I'm a power stroker and my Champ has a early roll (10:30) drilling with the coverstock in out-of-box condition. It rolls early sets up and keeps on coming. It carries light hits well and can leave designs if you come up a little high because of the power and drive built into the ball. All and all the ball is one of the best I have ever used in oil and I just couldn't find a reason not to give it a 10.

I reveiwed the Champ before and liked it for heavy oil. Since then I have actually thrown it in several different houses. It didn't perform as well as it did before. The Enforcer and the Contender are much more stable on oil. They make a sharp move at the break point and allow you to play more angles. With those two providing me with great oil solutions I tried polishing the Champ (10 Minutes in a Lusterking Machine). I was very impressed with the length and finishing power. I am now in love with this ball again. It is the first ball out of the bag because I can get a consistent read on the lanes. I shot 740 and 763 in two houses where I am averaging about 210. The shot has been tough all season and making spares is the reason I'm doing so well. For some reason I don't think I'll have to worry about making so many spares.

my champ was 15.5 1.5 top ping 2.25 before drilling.

drilled it 4X2 weight hole 1.5 inches past val. static

weights ended up 1/4 finger 3/8 positive side and 1/8

bottom.

i have thrown several different surfaces but 2000 wet

sanded polished is the best for my game on local conditions.

i am a left handed low ball speed med revs player.

have used this ball on a variety of lane conditions.

the ball is very clean through the first 30 feet of the lane

and reads the midlane very well and does not over react on the

backend.

best series to date with this ball 246-204-279=729.

a great ball that is surprisingly versitile.

later, gene

This ball is another hitting ball. My will play more of a down and end than any of my other Tracks balls. It is nice when the lanes start to breakdown than I can play the same angle as my enforcer.

See profile for specs.

Drilling: 5X3 w/ x-hole 1/2" right X 1/2" up from PAP

Surface: 1)1200 sand  2)Polished as much as possible

At first I tried this ball w/ a 1200 grit surface and that was a mistake, the ball rolled about 10 feet pass the arrows.  I threw exactly 6 shots before taking it to the sphere-machine for polish which it didn't accept easy.  After a while w/ polish this ball became the ball I expected.  It starts up in the mid-lane and makes a continous arc on the big-end.  It can be weak when it hits the pins if you are playing a deep angle, but if you are playing a deep angle there is probably enough dry to go with a ball that is more suited to swing the lane.  If you are a power player, I would find it difficult for you to use this ball on anything less then an oil spill w/out the help of some polish.  But for you tweener/strokers out there looking for some hook in a box, this is your ball.  It is a very controllable ball with great carry from the out-side, I did shoot 279 playing the 8 board w/ a lesser then average release.  Overall, if you do anything what so ever to the ball, find another ball to throw, but if you are somewhat rev. challenged by all means drill a Champ and have fun.  I will be posting an update hopefully in a couple of weeks on the ball to be a little more precise on the actually ball movement.  Until then good luck and good kegeling to all.

Hello,

Here is my information and review of the ball. I am a young person so you can take my adivce or not take if you do not trust me.
I have a REAPER, a CLAW, and now a CHAMP. I got it drilled today bowled with it fairly good!
My Reaper doesn't hook well on heavy oil because of the shiny finish. This Champ had no problem with the oil at all!!!! I stood on the last dot (in line with the 6th arrow) and threw it across the middle arrow so it would go out and  build up speed over the 2 arrow extended. this ball then kicked in and shot over into the pocket every time. No ten pins, 7 pins, or splits!!!! Trust me this is a great ball and I highly recommend it~ However don't try to throw it from the right side if you are righty because you will never get it into the pocket! This is not a spare ball though!

I give it a  10 out of 10 as a strike ball!

i have had this ball for some time now and i have mixed feelings about it.
you have the clean this ball after every 3 games or it wont hook verry good at all. during league the first game it will hook great but by the time the third game comes around your about 4 boards left (im left handed) because it wont come to the pocket. i have talked to other people who own this ball and they say the same thing. if you dont clean it you might as well throw it straight cause thats about all its going to do. when it is clean its great for that 1 or maybe 2 games. i give this ball a 7 1/2 out of 10. in my experiences its not very reliable.

Okay here is my second review of this ball. I have had it for a few weeks now. This ball is still a great strike ball and it works
fairly well for spares that need a hard hit to get em all down. However, oil builds up on this ball very easily so
I use rubbing acahol after every 3 games to clean it and I am going to try somehting new clalled Alley Griipper. It is for sale
on Ebay.

All in all I have had an increase in my scores and I believe this is a great ball for all bowlers.. If you miss your mark
it will not leave splits.. An ocasional 10 pin here and there but that is all. I still rate it a 10 out of 10!

Go Champ!!

This was my first "high-tech" ball, purchased at a clearance price after removing myself from a self-imposed ten-year exile from bowling (started having kids, ran out of money, bowling balls stolen, 300 game not recognized b/c League Treasurer did not forward sanctioning fees to ABC - I could whine more, but you might lose all respect for me).

Ball specs:  16 lb, CG in palm, pin to the right of finger holes.

I talked to several bowlers about this ball AFTER purchasing it, and they told me I was a fool to buy it.

At first, I thought my "bowling advisors" were right, as the ball, regardless of the condition, would roll far too early and then stop and hit like a marshmallow.

However, a polish up to 1500 gave me quite a different reaction.  It clears the heads quite nicely and at the break point turns left - hard.

I have never had a ball that "cleared the deck" like this one.  Well, maybe my Faball Nail (circa 1990 or so), which I threw the 300 with (you know, the one that wasn't recognized because the League Treasurer didn't forward the sanctioning fees to ABC - did I tell you about that?).  And, for those of you "old-timers" out there who remember, this ball looks a lot like that old Faball Nail.  Who knows, maybe lightning will strike twice.

And, fortunately, I haven't experienced the infamous "TEC Death" - yet.
