Pattern 40 foot 10-10
Pin out 5.25"
top weight 2.25 oz
layout pin 4.5" from PAP and way above the fingers CG in center of grip
Review:
First thing I wanted to know is how this ball handled dry so I stood 12 I fired the crash straight up 5 and let me tell you this ball goes long very long it clears the heads better than the dry heat and packs more of a punch on the backend. Even though it was torched out there it only displayed a slight hint that it wanted to hook early.
This ball also appears to respond well to hand position changes moving left into the puddle and applying more side rotation this ball became somewhat of a boomer, it wants to stand up soon as it gets friction.
Playing either line once this ball makes a move is very continuos, very controllable and when it hits it hits hard while keeping the pins low.
I love this ball already I am going to have to layout another one

I would rate this one a 9 out of 10 very versatile ball
Great job Del and friends keep up the good work

Ball: Drilled 4.5x 4, pin above ring finger coverstock in factory condition, and I have applied delayed reaction to it.

Lane Conditions: various patterns and various surfaces

Reaction: Ignores the heads and midlanes...unless they are totally fried at which point you just have to keep the ball out of the track area. Does not like carrydown at all. You have to have fresh backends in order to use this ball. The movement off of the dry is sudden and strong!

Hook: Less than the CrunchTime. Very similiar in overall movement to the Voo Doo. Gets down the lane...and all of the movement is in the backends. NO chance of using this ball on oil. 7.0

Control: With the delayed reaction applied this ball transitions from the oil to the dry nicely. You will get over under on extreme wet/dries though. 6.0

Hit: If you liked the way the Voo Doo smacked the pins....this ball is its identical twin. Strong impact. It is that classic reactive type of impact. 8.5

Readability: With this ball as sensative to oil as it is this is not the ball that you would want to read the lanes with. Crankers may get the desired reaction out of it to read the lanes with, but that is about it. If you leave the factory finish on it and have slower speed you may be able to read the lanes with it as well. 6.5

Overall: This ball is a great fit just under the Crunch Time. With the factory finish it gets probably 2-3 ft further down the lane before it makes its move. It is just a hair too strong to be a dry lane ball though. Ideally you would want to use this on med/med light.

Overall: 7.5

I am 14 years of age. I now have about 17-19 revs thtowing 15 mph. I got this ball with a label leverage drilling. Pin placement I believe is 3 inches. I have a 190 average.

I love this ball. This ball hooks a bit more than I expected. It has the best carry out of any ball I throw. It has a good comeback so it carries the corner pins real well. I would reccomend this ball to anybody.

Okay everybody, sorry. The lane conditions were varied. Let me post them.
Synthetic/House Shot-Good ball, hooked to the pocket a lot, beautiful carry.
Wood House/43 feet, 55 mils. 10 out 35 mils.-Ball worked great. If I missed my mark a bit, it would hold them hook, and if I let it out too far, it would hook back.

possibly one of the all time greatest balls.  Pin above fingers on midline, cg kicked out with small weight hole.  Ball is both forgiving and carries on bad shots.

Finally got of hands on one of these beauty's..... Set up pin over middle finger, cg 1/2 in. off midline, no hole...polished immediately with black magic..

This ball I'd have to say, is the best rolling one they have made since the Threat. The loping motion down the lane is the exact same. As long as there isn't any oil present or a huge OB, this ball will work wonders. Keeps the pins very low, very nice at kicking the corners, and very smooth trhu the heads. plays very well from deep angles, tends to be a little jumpy when slow on the speed, but other than that, A fantastic release from the fellas at track..

thanks for reading

Okay, this ball has started to calm down a bit, until today. I threw this baby on fresh oil, and it hooked about 5 boards more than my Phenom Unleashed and Big Blue Pearl, and had the best entry angle. I shot a 687 with it, one of the best series I have shot sanctioned.

Track Crash
Weight: 15#
Pin: 3"
Top Weight: 2.25 oz

Layout:
4 1/2" Pin above slightly right of ring finger. Archy lay out w/ tiny weight hole to balance out side weight.

I used to have one of these with a 3 3/8" pin stacked leverage layout. I then had that plugged and re-drilled with a 5 1/2" pin, with the pin above the bridge. The 3 3/8" was a really aggressive and I just could not put enough polish on it to tame it. When I had it re-drilled to 5 1/2" it started out as a great dry lane ball, but then it too became aggressive. I sold it and after a 12-month hiatus from my arsenal, I received another one as a bonus for purchasing a book from ebay. We had this one drilled 4 1/2" archy type layout w/ a tiny weight hole due to 1 oz dead even on side weight. I have to say, this ball excelled on the Chameleon pattern in my PBA 6-Game Block League I bowl on Tuesday nights. The next day I went to a different house to bowl on a THS to see what it would do.

On heavy oil this ball would not recover enough playing deep. You could get away with playing it direct even though it has an archy lay out. After a few games of practicing and my Slash becoming too much I pulled the Crash back out and started crushing the pocket swinging it. Laying it down at the 13th board and putting out to the 9th board, I got a great backend reaction. With the right layout the Crash is a great go-to ball once the lanes start burning up in the heads. Also a great ball to use for second shift conditions. Overall, I am very pleased with this ball! Even though it is discontinued, if you can find one, I highly recommend it!

Drilled this ball with the pin over the fingers and cg just below it.  This ball cleared the front fairly well, but had a nice backend to it.  It was almost too skid flippy for me.  I haven't been able to throw it on the house shot.  This ball did impress me.  This ball worked best for me when they dried out some and I could get left around the 4th and 5th arrow and give the ball room to the right.  It also hit fairly well.

Good Luck and Good Bowling,
Michael
