*~900 Global BOUNTY Video from Videoballreviews.com!~*

Hi All,

I'm proud to present to you The 900 Global BOUNTY Video.

http://www.videoballreviews.com/bounty.html

MY Take on the ball:

900 Global has certainly been making a name for itself lately...this year they are fully registered with the PBA and are already 2 for 2 on shows made.  Let me tell you this, that is no coincidence, this stuff is good.

The Bounty is a much needed addition to the 900 Global line in my opinion.  While the Breaks are one of my favorite lines of balls on the market, they are all very strong off the dry.  Sometimes a smoother more rolly approach is needed and thats exactly what the Bounty provides.  Now lets not confuse rolly with weak, because these balls are anything but weak.  In fact what makes this ball special for me is its ability to retain energy even at its 1000 grit abralon OOB surface.  Usually this is a surface that is not useable for myself on my Typical House Shot, but this core does a great job of pushing this ball to where it needs to be before it makes it big arcing move to the pocket.

Polishing this ball really didn't make it really skid-flip, it more or less pushed the reaction farther right on the lane.  This is one of the things i love about Valentino's Snake Oil polish...it REALLY lets the true characteristics of the ball show through! This cover seems very tunable, which should help this ball cover a variety of patterns with different layout or surface changes.  When it starts to hook early, just put it away!

The ball looks average to me.. It looks like every other ball out there on the market, maybe it is just the bowlers style on that particular condition, but it looks like nothing special, and carry looks average as well. Maybe I was just expecting too much from it.... I don't know, I'll wait and see.

I drilled one 60 x 4 x 45, 3-1/4" pin and got much more out of mine than the vid shows, not knocking Brit, just may be the difference in our games. Mine showed more continuation and sharper breakpoint, the Bounty is nothing to be considered as normal looking or acting when it is thrown. It made several other high end balls look like entry level balls when it came to the break point with far less continuation, it just shifted into the next gear about 15 feet from the pin deck.

...this ball by far is the best ball out on the market right now.

Ok I'll bite

How is this the best ball on the market ?

Best ball for what ? All styles and lane conditions ?

Single best ball, huh ?...and this why most staffers opinions on balls mean very little..lol

boy the Bounty looks smooth even with the polish on it. that would be a great ball to use when the lanes are getting snappy.

Nice Vid Britton.

All I'm going to say is that this ball is one that made me say, "wow." I've thrown a lot of equipment from different ball companies, tested a lot of equipment, and every once in a while, there's a ball that just impresses the heck out of you. You can't lay a finger on exactly what it is, but it just seems to match up with you well. My highly polished Bounty has great continuation and is definitely a ball I would want in my bag if planning on bowling in any tournaments. Could I use a lesser hooking ball for a THS league? Of course. Could I get by without a Bounty? Of course. But having thrown the Bounty now, I can say that without a doubt that I WANT a Bounty in my bag if I believe that I will encounter longer, heavier patterns and WANT the ability to open up a lane and play an area nobody else is playing.

Excellent video Britton!  I have a S-75, which is plenty strong for me, but what I am really interested in is seeing a Maniac video!  Will you be making one soon?  I know you have both balls, and where would you place it in the 900 line up?

If you take a look at the end of my video, I throw a few shots with the Maniac... for me, the Maniac is very smooth off the dry, and it fits between the 900G Creature and the AMF Code nicely. A little more hook than the AMF Villain, too, FYI.

Thanks revTrex!  I did see your video of the Bounty and the Maniac and you are so right about the continuation through the pins with the Bounty!  Can't wait to see the extended version with more shots of the Maniac!  For me, I don't think I need anything stronger than my S-75, hence my interest in the Maniac.   I also have a Break solid, Break Pearl, BWP, and a Hole pounder pearl.   Where do you think the Maniac would be in this line up or would there be overlap?

No overlap, Maniac is significantly smoother than the Break Pearl, the BWP, and the Hole Pounder Pearl. Probably similar overall hook to the BWP or the Break Pearl, depending on the drilling and surface prep, but much more controlled at the breakpoint and more even throughout the whole lane.
