The Heist has the reputation of being extremely smooth and rolly. The Lunatic is the same way.

I think the coverstock on the Lunatic is a bit stronger though. This should lead to the ball being stronger off the spot if all other factors are considered equal.

I've never thrown the Lunatic, but you will never take my Heist away from me nor stop me from throwing it. It is one of the most versatile balls I have owned.

The Heist is everything AMF said it would be I also have a Heist Pearl and both balls are worth their weight in gold.I wish I would have bought another of each one and locked them away for the future.I was just looking for something to take their place so I guess this is a plea for a Lunatic Pearl so I can have some more gold to play with.

I never threw a Heist but I would have to think that the Lunatic would be close. Maybe a bit stronger. The Lunatic is a great ball to play straighter on fresher patterns and allows me to move in as the night progresses without sacrificing carry. However, I would not call it a light oil piece. It is way to strong on light oil for me.

For instance, last Friday in our league they must have forgot to oil our lanes or something cause they were pretty dry from the get go. I started with my Lunatic around 18 at the arrows and had a pretty good look, but when they transitioned it was done I couldn't get it down the lane. Just to give you an idea how dry they got I was playing around 14 at the arrows to about 8 with my White Dot at the end of the night slowing my ball speed down a little to get carry (with most of the hook being in the midlane).

both are smooth rolling balls IMO, the Heist was earlier for me, more total boards of hook. The Lunatic was longer with less total boards overall.
