900 Global After Dark Pearl video and written review
« on: July 18, 2018, 12:10:42 AM »

The After Dark is available in two versions. The Solid and the Pearl. Both offer similar shapes, the Solid is smoother and it has a slower response to friction, while the Pearl is slightly cleaner and it has a stronger backend motion, making it more angular than the solid. They complement each other quite well.

We tried the After Dark Pearl in our typical house shot and I found this ball more versatile than I thought. I was able to play a similar line than with the After Dark Solid and I saw more motion downlane than with the Solid. I was also able to move a couple of boards right and the After Dark Pearl offered enough recovery to make it back to the pocket.

This ball will be a helpful weapon for a wide variety of bowlers. For the ones who are just starting bowling, the After Dark Pearl will be a great option. For the competitive bowler, this ball will be a great ball to use when you need a ball that is clean through the fronts, when there is a lot of friction in the front part of the lane and when you need more shape down the lane.

Overall 900 Global delivered what they are advertising with the After Dark series. Both balls complement the rest of the 900 Global lineup.

Thank you for watching!

Angel, great review.

Not going to lie, I was excited when I found out they were using S30 on a ball again. I still have my Desert Hook and I loved my Link. The Pearl AD looks very Linkish to me, and I can't wait to put holes in mine.

I also still have my Desert Hook with the S30 cover.  One of the best dry lane balls I have thrown.  I just ordered the After Dark solid last night from my PSO.  Should make a great 1-2 punch on the desert like lanes we are seeing of late.  Will update later when I get the After Dark solid with a performance review.

I definitely want at least one of these balls. Not sure how similar they are to the Monster Vamp. Core numbers are different, but not sure what cover is on the Vamp. My Tactical Ops just got delivered to my mom's house in Michigan last night. Bringing it over on the weekend. Can't wait for that one. Pretty soon I will have more 900 Global balls than anything else.
