900 Global Volatility video and written review
« on: January 13, 2020, 04:41:25 PM »

The Volatility is one of the new releases from 900 Global for 2020. This ball features the S86R hybrid coverstock and the new Volatility asymmetric core.

We tried this ball on our typical house shot and the ball does exactly as advertised. The Volatility is clean through the front part of the lane and it has a late midlane read, with a smooth transition when it hits the friction, providing a predictable and continuous shape at the backend.

The Volatility reminds me a little of the Inception DCT solid. The main difference I noticed is that the Volatility is not as early and smooth as the DCT, allowing me to play from different angles. I was able to play with the Volatility near my confort zone and I was able to move in and play steeper angles and the Volatility offered enough recovery to kick out the seven pin a.k.a as "My nemesis".

Misses outside offered a lot of recovery, I just had to make sure to not miss outside too soon. Misses inside were almost as effective as misses inside. The S86R hybrid coverstock digs through the oil and the ball has a smooth and controllable reaction as soon as it sees friction.

This ball will be a great option when you need to control the breakpoint on most medium and heavy oil conditions. The Volatility seems like the ball to start with on fresh oil patterns and during most league nights. The Volatility will be a great ball to blend the pattern and succeed on over/under conditions and flat patterns. While the Volatility is extremely strong, it is more versatile than I thought. I see a lot of bowling styles having success with this ball.

Overall I feel this is a great addition to the 900 Global lineup. Low speed and low rev bowlers will love this ball. The Volatility provides easy revs and a strong backend motion for a dulled ball. Tournament bowlers will find in the Volatility a great piece to start in flat patterns and sport shot conditions.

Thank you for watching!

Great review, Angel. I love the voice over guy! And man, does this ball look like a beast.

I'd love to see what one of these things does shined up.

Thank you! I really like his voice too!

Oh yeah, It might be if not the strongest, one of the strongest balls Iíve ever thrown. I actually just adjusted the surface to 2K with polish and it rolls amazing! Same strong midlane read but it goes a tad longer and has more shape down the lane, I think Iím going to keep it that way!
