Possibly an x2?
« on: November 08, 2017, 09:55:24 AM »
My 2 favorite balls are motiv venom shock and storm iq tour. I like low diff solids,so I was looking at getting an x2. Anyone have any clue what I should expect?

Based on the first two balls, I would bet money you would like the X2. My doubles partner has the OG X, buttery smooth and predictable. I'm guessing the X2 will just have a touch more off the end of the pattern.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III

IQ Tour

X2 is a touch more off the spot. My X is like a really strong urethane with a bit of pop. Great for blending out patterns.

I feel that the Shock cover has a faster response to friction than the S59 from the X2. The X2 is earlier and way smoother than the Venom Shock. I have both and I love them. The Venom Shock is probably my favorite ball of all time. The X2 is a great ball to start with and then the Shock is a great step down.

Then you will like the X2. Is smoother and a good step up from the Shock. Once the X2 is too much, I can always change to the Shock and keep the same line to the pocket.

What I'm really diggin about the X and probably the X2 is that you can build a very versatile 3 ball bag utilizing one of them. Then add something angular and a spare ball. One of my friends only uses an X, Code Black, and Urethane for spares. Averages 215 league and usually finds a comfortable spot in sport shots reasonably easily.

I agree. The X2 is one of those balls that you can build around, kind of like a Forza SS, smooth and predictable balls. You just need something cleaner and more angular and maybe a weaker ball with your preferred shape and you are good to go.

Yeah, I just recently got to throw the X2 at a Demo Day and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was. This is definitely a ball you could build an arsenal with and have multiple layouts, and different surfaces, yet never miss a beat!
