Title: 900G The Eagle USA
Post by: SVstar34 on May 05, 2020, 05:20:19 PM
Approved 4/28/20

There's no possible way this is an overseas only release? Right?

As much as I hate patriotic messaging, I have to admit the red/white/blue on that looks really, really cool.

That's a nice blend of colors. Strong core with a simple shape as well as a Storm poured coverstock... this could be a big one.

That looks like the Ultimate Nirvana. ;D

Similar. I had an Ultimate Nirvana and I think the colors were a little brighter than what's being shown for this ball. At least for the blue color. This looks closer to navy while the Ultimate Nirvana was your regular blue color

I hope this is true

https://www.bowlerstore.com/p-15043-900-global-the-eagle-usa.aspx

The Eagle USAâ„¢ features the S75â„¢ Coverstock combined with the always reliable Breakâ„¢
Asymmetric Core.
The S75â„¢ Pearl Coverstock will provide more traction than the previously used S70â„¢ and
S72â„¢ Covers found on the Ops line of bowling balls.  S75â„¢ features micro-additives that will
enhance traction in the midlane while maintaining the strong backend the Ops line was known for!!

The Breakâ„¢ Asymmetric Core will bring that ever reliable early revving motion combined with a huge backend.  Expect the Eagle USAâ„¢ to offer a very strong motion throughout the lane on medium to heavy oil conditions!!

There are at least 2 new offerings on the Bowlerstore.com site. The Eagle USA and a Pink Badger. Are these new offerings or could they be an overseas ball? Neither ball is on the 900 Global site or any other ball site that I could find.

There's the Pink Badger and BooYah Pro which are overseas releases.

Two posts with the Eagle USA have been removed from a 900 Global Facebook group, so that leads me to think it's a US release. Not sure why bowlerstore already shows in stock

The ball is called The Eagle USA, of course it is going to be released in the United States.

BooYah Pro?

BooYah Pro?
BooYah with a new S26 pearl urethane cover. The usual "urethane shape but more backend" promises.

BowlerX has all three on preorder, though. Am somewhat interested despite having nowhere to throw anything.

Buddies has all three listed on their site ready for pre-order.

I am hoping this release is similar to the Storm Thunderflash of old.  On a typical house shot, for me, that ball was always my benchmark and go to ball.  Looking forward to all the new releases.

"This is one of the last three balls produced at the 900 Global plant in San Antonio, Texas Once these are gone, so is a little piece of history…"

That is on all three of the descriptions from the BowlerX product pages. If true there's probably a limited quantity on each ball.

Someone maybe wants to double check that.  My understanding was the San Ant plant couldn't produce 3 color bowling balls.  Those had to be poured in Utah.

The San Antonio plant was updated to do 3 color pours a while ago. I believe the Dream Big Pearl was the first tri-color pour there.

Hadn't heard that.  Very cool.

I am thinking they closed San Antonio plant because of the shut down in Texas

Watched the Derby this weekend and saw Rash use this ball.  Not only a good looking ball but really liked the ball motion on that 42 foot pattern.

My earlier question about these releases have been answered, 900 Global has the Eagle USA and Pink Badger posted to their web site as "International Releases". Maybe they can be tempted to re-release the original Eagle again. With the success the original had I'm sure the new release would be a hit.

Well, I'll try preordering a BooYah Pro and see what happens.

The release date says yesterday but it's still pre-order status. I figure I can cancel if it doesn't ship in a reasonable amount of time.

You know,.it's funny. Last year I mentioned to my Global boss that we should bring back the S75. Now, I don't know if they were able to get their hands on the Soaker additive, but if they did, they should be promoting the crap out of that.

I remember The Look having S75 with soaker. I'm not sure if that was after Phil left. Nonetheless I remember hearing with the new covers, they could produce better covers without having to use the soaker additive. So I think the soaker additive is a think of the past.

I think Phil had started making the Slant around the same time, so close that I think the first couple of Radical balls were San Antonio poured. Slant HD had Soaker I think. I actually had a Slant HD and a Torrid (Basically a Heat). Torrid was good, Slant was meh.

It is not an overseas release.  Rash was using it last week at the Derby.
