Whats next for 900Global?
« on: April 11, 2010, 03:21:11 PM »
What does everyone expect from 900Global for their next ball?  A Break Out Pearl, a heavy oil ball to replace the BH's as the bounty ends in about 3 weeks, or one of the listed before and a Lunatic replacement as well?

Any idea on the release date of the Profit?

Now that BTM has reviewed it I thought it might be available. However, there is no mention of it on the 900G website (odd, you''d think that they would want to introduce it- not BTM).

By the way, Buddies has only the Break Out, Break Point and Break Point Pearl still for sale...The Links and both Bounty Hunters are gone- most likely discontinued would be my guess. That leaves lots of room at the heavy and light end of the 900G lineup. Can''t wait to see what''s next besides the Profit!!

It was my understanding when I spoke with Eric on Friday, there would be possibly one ball released prior to Bowl Expo, the rest to be released in mid to late June.
the release he mentioned was not the Profit, unless it is an entry level ball.

Steve-
The Profit is reviewed in the 6/10 version of BTM which I received Saturday. They referred to it as the upper middle price point and the review certainly reflects that this is no entry level ball- S70 pearl cover with a brand new core.

maybe they have changed their mind set, all I know is what I was told by Eric. I have not asked for any info, as they have enough on their plate without being pinged about new releases, lol. All I have heard is rumors, and I don't place faith in rumors. I guess I'll see it in BTM when mine arrives, in another week or so.

Only makes sense if they are going to release it soon.  What's the point of releasing information in May on a ball that isn't going to ship until July?  And why make an announcement when most bowlers are done bowling until the start of fall leagues?  Sure, some bowl summer leagues, but if the ball isn't shipping until July who really cares?

I can pretty much guarantee that even though Ebonite says the Game Plan and Vital Sign aren't coming out until June and July, somebody will be over there asking why there aren't any reviews or videos.

Bowl Expo is June 27th-July 1st.  I'm sure they'll make an announcement sometime before then and have the balls available for display at the expo.

Only thing I have heard is they will improve or replace the Link. Don't know if that means same name with stronger core or new line. Supposed to still be a dry lane option, so think I will hold out for the new release for that part of the new arsenal.
