Title: All Day and Moxie
Post by: Blueprint on May 25, 2015, 03:53:32 PM
I was on the 900 global website and noticed the All Day and Moxie have been discounted. Neither of these have been out a year. Anyone know why they were discontinued so soon? Just curious...

For the Moxie, my guess is because the Dream Big is coming out, there would have been some overlap within their asymmetricals.  As for the All Day, I'm thinking that the Black Ops and the Break Down both simply took its spot.

I can see your point with the All Day, but the Moxie has a symmetrical core and was in the same line as the Respect.

I love my moxie so not sure why this one is going so fast.  Maybe a respect solid on the horizon around September or so.

The moxie is an absolute monster in my hands.   The cover on that ball is the strongest cover I have thrown in a while.  I'm sad that it's discontinued but I'm glad I got one right before it went away.   I also drilled an all day.   While I like the all day it is a little lazy on the back end for me.  I can only imagine what is coming next.    900 Global has definitely surprised me with some really good stuff

Respect Hybrid, Respect Pearl and Respect Solid. Sounds like a plan to me.

All Day was designed to control the fresh, and its also a great tournament ball because its controllable. I made it a point to drill it totally different than my Grip It. 5 inch pin tonpap with no hole.

Am I right in saying that 900 global have made one moxie and no other version?  I would say because of the success the Respect has had ( can't believe I have to wait 2 weeks for mine to come in ) and with the Respect pearl coming out I would say this is the ball 900 global are pushing more, plus Chris Barnes has stated it's his favourite ball too. A respect solid would be very interesting.

They only made one Moxie and they won't be making any more balls with that name. If they decided to make a ball with the same/similar cover and core, it wouldn't be called Moxie for legal reasons.

What were the legal reasons?

I assume respect line has more commotion, kinda like the...prodigy... Then marvel, marvel pearl, modern marvel?

Its nothing new lol. They pick the one that sells and make a whole Iine of em.

I heard that the first cover on the Moxie was just too early, hence why it took so long for it to be released.

But I "know" nothing for sure.

I'd have to agree with this. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a respect solid.

I think the cover ended up getting a little too strong too really for most people and I think the color scheme might have turned some people away also

That's my understanding of why they can't use that name anymore.

Yeah I noticed that too, I wonder if it's because the Respect is the ball Chris Barnes is using on tour, as well as the dream line balls, most people want to bowl the balls the pros use, haven't noticed a moxie being used.

Moxie has been used a lot in the qualifying rounds when I watched. Pretty easy to pick out the colors
