Bank Review
« on: July 26, 2010, 11:40:37 AM »
Hi everyone,

I had a chance to get this drilled up last week and here is what I've seen so far.

I drilled my Bank 5 ½ x 4 with the pin under my ring finger and no hole.  With all the talk of the new SRC core I was very excited to see what this ball could do.  Usually I’m not a fan of strong shells with big cores so I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I was very surprised!

I first tested this ball on the WTBA Athens oil pattern.  This ball gave me recovery that no one else could match, along with continuation through the pins that was something else.  The ball motion was a very unique mix of a strong midlane roll, extreme continuation through the pins, and quite a bit more “pop” at the break point then I expected.  I’m not exactly sure what the deal behind the SRC core is, but it rolls great in this ball.

The Bank was just about 7 and 4 stronger then my Break Out with a similar layout, but the pin over my ring finger.  As strong as this ball is, it was still easy to get down the lane.  This is a very strong mix of cover and core and doesn’t need a lot of surface to do some tricks!

I was also able to test this ball on one of the new USBC White patterns, and it shined equally well on this.  It was about 5 and 3 stronger then my Break Out on this pattern due to the larger oil wall on this pattern.  It again gave me excellent midlane role, a strong move of the hook spot, and amazing continuation through the pins.  All in all, I couldn’t ask for anything more in a high end ball!
