Anyone have any comments on the Maniac?
« on: October 31, 2008, 12:14:47 PM »
The places that I bowl usually is medium to dry.  For those very occasional times that there is quite a bit of oil, I have my S-75.   I also have a Break solid and a Break Pearl as well.  I was looking at the Maniac to fit below my Breaks and would like to know if anyone is throwing them and how do you like it?   My proshop said they already ordered some and they should be on the way, along with the Bountys.  I don't need a Bounty, but maybe a Maniac would suit me better.

I have told anyone that will listen around here in SA, that ball is a keeper and I hope it does not get over looked due to the Bounty.
My wife and I have both bowled with a Maniac several times now and I do not see any issue with this ball handling med-hvy down to med-lte. I have not tried this ball in oob as of yet, as the center I am at most of the time does not have enough oil to hold a creature pearl for me. I have tried this at 4000 with diamond gloss on top and it does not create a skid/snap reaction but maintains the mid lane revs and strong move towards the pocket. The wife is using hers at 2000 with snake oil and it fits under her code and above her creature pearl just fine.

I just punched up mine tonite and threw it OOB.  It gets through the heads clean but really starts to rev up.  This ball is amazing on the backend and hits extremely hard.  Bowled on a fresh house shot.  The way mine is drilled, I swear this has about 6-7 inches of track flare.  I can see about putting a link up for the pic of the ball.  Sorry, no video available.
