I'm curious on the core also
-
Any PICS?
-
I dont see on approved list, i see another Honey Badger (black/grey/silver) but not Badger. Sure it isn't that one maybe a Hybrid Honey Badger.
-
It is a different core as the HB? I love the HB for sure!
-
added pic to OP showing core
-
That's the lunatic core. At least the shape is.
-
With the success of the HB core, I dont know why they would change it. Doesnt make sense.
-
That's what I thought too. And I loved my Lunatics

If they're using the Jewel core, it's going to be high rg medium diff. A different shape than the HB.

Definitely the Lunatic core. Previously had 2.55/.045 in 15lbs. If that's the case for the Badger it might fit the benchmark look I want with a stronger layout and surface

Hy-Road doppelganger?...

I think I'll take the high road on this release, no comment. :D
Honey Badger is an awesome ball though. If it had a smell to it, you would see 3-4 of them on every rack in the center for the THS.

Brand bias, right? No lightning bolt on it, so it's gahbage!

I'm only biased to all black equipment.
2 GB2's, Legion Solid, Rhodman, Jet Black Vibe LE, and Mission Unknown is what I'm packing in the trunk. Everything else I hoard undrilled until I hit a slump then I'll punch up one of the "uglies" to get my mojo back.

How I feel about the whole thing. I am with you on the whole black ball thing. Boo-yah, Black Ops, X, Night Hawk SE.

That core won't sell. Never sold well..

That core won't sell. Never sold well..
Well, the Jewel was a flop because men didn't want to buy something with a big wedding ring on it. Lunatic was just not appealing shelf wise.
I do have an original Jewel sitting NIB in case I ever did want one... But only because I got one for my wife!!

comes in 14 15 and 16lbs 16lb 2.52 .054 15lb 2.57 .041 14lb 2.64 .023

So continue lol. I doubt the badger will help it sell

Threw it last night for the first time. This ball is literally the little sibling to the Honey Badger but just as good if not better. The Badger has that same 2-piece design seen in the HB along with the same S71 cover but in Hybrid version. This sibling has a different set of guts though. It is using the Lacerate Symmetric core. Where the HB struggled in the midlane a bit for me I was able to use the Badger on the fresh out of the box and still keep moving in. Because of this, I will be able to take my HB back to 1500 polish from 2000 by hand. This way I can truly get that 1-2 punch needed. The Badger still gives you that down lane motion made famous by the HB but with a bit, more midlane read. The more I moved left the more it just wanted to keep coming. This ball has no quit in it that I have found yet.

Just ALWAYS have to bring the race of the ball into it.......... >:( :P :P :P

The Hybrid Badger is the perfect complement to the Honey Badger. The symmetrical core in the Badger produces a more arc like backend rather than the angular back end of the Honey Badger. I drilled mine 55 x 4 1/8 x 40 with a hole on my PAP 7/8 x 1 1/2. On a fresh Kegel Middle Road (39') pattern, the Badger produced a nice midlane read and a strong arcing move on the backend. On a kegel 39' challenge shot,(39', 8:1 ratio) I used the Badger after the transition. I was able to move left and open up the angle through the front to a breakpoint at 8. This ball can be either a "go to" ball after transition or a first ball for light volume fresh patterns.

Had my PSO order me one of these a few weeks ago and its just finally getting in at the end of this week hopefully. Appears the badger has been popular enough to produce back orders.
Makes me even more excited to finally get it ;D
