A little more....
« on: June 09, 2015, 10:00:39 AM »
I am going to post this in a few different brand boards. When I ended my winter league, I was loving my Hy-Road. But there were a few nights where I needed something with a little more pop. What in the Global 900 line would fit the bill? I am open to trying any brand to find the ball that works. I appreciate you taking the time.

I would say Respect if you want to stick with symmetrical, and Black Ops if you wanted assym.

I agree. Respect will definitely give you that pop off the backend, and it is very strong for a symmetrical ball. The black ops would be a good choice. It is an EXTREMELY good value ball for what you get with it. Respect pearl may be a good option if you want a symmetric with a litte more backend.

Agreed with what was said previously. If you are looking at something entry level, I would say a Boost Pearl. This ball definitely offers a bit of backend pop especially when the lanes have transitioned and the heads are a bit burnt. There are definitely more than a few options to pick from. Overall, you won't find more bang for your buck than that of a Black Ops! Even though its a polished solid, you will still see length with a big, strong backend move. You can never go wrong with a Break core! Those 2 get my votes.

I found the Boost Solid (orange/yellow) to be stronger off the spot and more continuous than the Black Ops when I demo'd the two side by side.
I think either ball would be pretty comparable in strength to the HyRoad; as such, I don't think it would be the best choice. I think the Respect would be the right choice here - it's stronger than the HyRoad and retains that downlane angularity.
