I've reserved multiple of that ball with my PSO. That's the one ball this season that's got me really excited.

Not gonna lie, I concur. That and the Ordinances. Keep those on your radar, friends.

Is it Ordinance or Ordnance?

Just FYI, because I had the same thought....

Ordinance is a city ruling or law. Ordnance is military/explosives, etc...

The ball on the website is Ordnance.

I wonder if he's throwing 15 or 16 lb version. I'm probably going to get the 16 lb one because I like my urethanes in 16 usually.

I'm aware, but I know he has drilled a 15 lb Honey Badger because of the core numbers.

Got a Fever Pitch, and now a Covert Tank, then another urethane-esque type ball comes out.

For a long time, even though urethane made a come back, what we really had was retro 1980's era urethane with slightly updated core. When I see the pitch black or black hammer urethanes - that's what I think.

Since going to no thumb bowling I've been looking for a better option than using what are really just light oil balls, or needing to go much deeper inside than would like.

I think it's great that all of a sudden  companies are compete to make the best modern urethane-like balls for people like me.

Confirmed with Chris it is a 16 Badger Infused. Looking forward to this one!

How does the covert tank compare to the fever pitch?

Covert Tank Vs Fever Pitch

Since everything is based on bowler my specs are
380 rev rate
speed, about 13 MPH as per monitor
3 degrees axis tilt,
axis rotation about 50 degree but can vary a bit
rev dominant no thumb bowler

My fever pitch is drilled with 5 inch pin PAP
Covert Tank is 4 inch

Fever pitch is a little longer and snaps more on backend. I need to move a few boards more inside to use covert tank. So covert tank is noticeably stronger. I think both ball compliment each other - considering my specs it's like the companies made them just for me.

Although I did have the covert tank drilled with stronger layout, as I thought that would give different motion than fever pitch, and it did.

If you look at Tamer Bowling's reviews, at end of covert tank review mentions that for the low rev player it was hooking more than fever pitch. I think he's review of the balls matches the difference I see.

I have a Visionary Crow, which I hardly use b/c I dropped from 15 to 14 pounds when went to no-thumb. I think the Covert Tank is similar in motion to that - but a little more continuous on back end (and no carrydown issue).

Carrydown has not been an issue with either ball. For whatever reason, with my specs I have seen very noticeable carrydown with weak pearl reactive's, and strong reactives are too much for me on anything but heaviest oil. For any rev-dominant no-thumb or 2 handed bowler, you can't go wrong with either one.

Both balls are much stronger than a traditional urethane. I have to move about a whole arrow outside to use blue hammer compared to fever pitch.

Thank you! Sounds like the Covert isn’t what I’m looking for. Will stick to the badger infused instead..
