Title: Bounty vs Break
Post by: LuckyLefty on December 01, 2008, 02:45:15 PM
I just went over to Video Ball reviews and was impressed with the Break on Video.

It reminded me of a Black Widow with a little more midlane.
A high flip No Mercy maybe..

When I saw the Bounty of thought of a heavy rolling thundering oil ball.

Am I seeing this right!

That solid Break looked like it could whip out a lot of high scores on league when set up with a strong mass bias position!  Thoughts?

Not sure about the Bounty but many many people have compared the Break line to the Widow line.

Break = BW Solid

Break Pearl = BW Pearl

Break s75 = BW Bite

The only difference I have noticed is that the Breaks seems a little more durable and slightly stronger off the spot but not much.

Yep, Break series is very much like the Black Widow series by Hammer... but with perhaps just a touch more overall hook for each ball, respectively. The Bounty OOB will handle more oil and will be a heavy-rolling monster... but not as flippy or angular.

So is it safe to say that the Bounty is similar to the Sauce, or am I taking this whole comparison thing a bit too far.

I would assume they have similar characterists in the way they roll but I haven't seen either thrown so that is mere speculation.

I have both a break pearl and a black widow pearl and I like the break pearl much, much better!  The black widow was too squirty and inconsistent for me.  The break pearl is stronger off the break and for me, hits much harder. If debating betwen the two, I would recommend the break pearl.

I think it might be a bit too far. I think the Sauce OOB is more of a medium-heavy to heavy oil ball -- maybe somewhat like the S75 with a slightly different downlane motion -- whereas the Bounty OOB is definitely for heavy oil only. Now, you could alter the surface on a Bounty and get a much more versatile reaction. It take cover changes very, very well -- I have mine right now with high gloss polish over the OOB surface -- and with the right change you can match up on anything from medium to heavy oil (the whole spectrum).

Break = BW Solid>>>>>...........Break can handle more oil.

Break Pearl = BW Pearl>>>...... Break pearl reads the midlane way better.

Break s75 = BW Bite>>>>..... Close, but I would say the S-75 can handle more oil.

Just added my views on what these balls can do.
