I have my Break at 1000 Abralon and it really doesn't pick up a roll for a crap unless I have clean backends, In your opinion is the surface to dull and trying to roll to early? or am I overpowering the ball?
drill pattern is 70x30 with a two inch pin.
What do you guys think. Thanks.

My guess would be it's rolling too early. That cover is pretty strong OOB at 4000. Unless you have a lot of oil, 1000 might be too much.

I have 2 Breaks and I have polished both of them. They give me a very good backend reaction. Very smooth thru the front and a good smooth hard cornering into the pocket. Both I gave them a 1000 Abralon and thin polish with Bean Sauce and a final buff with a light spray of water with a dry clean cloth.
Try it and your team mates will ask you to always bring it out the bag.

In general, I'd have to go with this opinion.
Mainzer, unless you have a flood or have LOTS of ball speed with respect to yuor rev rate, try 2000 grit Abralon or the stock, 4000 grit Abralon. OR add a light doseof polishto your 1000 grit ABralon. I emphasize LIGHT.

I have to agree with what has already been said. With the extra surface, the ball is just too strong and is rolling really early.
Try it at 1000 and add a light dose of polish(maybe Snake-Oil if you have it)
2000 no polish/ 2000 with polish
Or, go back to the beginning, 4000 no polish

The storm made balls were more skid flippy for me had 3 of them total, the new 900global made ball is picks up a roll faster and hooks a few boards less. Still a great ball but you might want try 2k no polish, I have left one there for a few months and it is usable ball most nights I bring it out.

Mine is at 1K plus polish, and it's a beast!
