There are alot of variables, as far as which one is better for you.  But I have experience with the bounty hunter.  It was very condition specific, great on long or heavy patterns.  The train with its symmetric core does seem more versatile.  My uncle has a train, which he uses on fresh ths, and it is awesome for him.  Excellent carry.  If your looking for a ball just for true heavy oil, I would recommend the BH.  But for a more versatile ball that can be used on heavy oil as well as med/heavy, I would say Train,

I would have to say the Train. Much more versatile. I have both and find the Bounty Hunter to be condition specific. I think we have one or two centers that we travel for that I have found it affective on fresh and it goes back in the bag. I used my Train in Wichita for all of team and through doubles. Went to a Bank Roll with less surface for singles after break down of the conditions.

Black Eagle would be the perfect starting point. You can't go wrong with that ball.
