Title: Bullet Train Surface
Post by: vadertyme03 on January 21, 2013, 07:22:46 PM
At what surface are people having success with their Bullet Train? I've tried both OOB and 4000 Abralon and haven't really liked the look of either. I'm just trying to narrow down some choices so I'm not shooting in the dark.

I have tried both the out of box and 4000 and they were both a bit early for me so I did what I do with balls the don't seem to roll well for me I threw it in the ball polisher we have an old luster king in our house and I threw it in there for 10 minutes. some people think I'm nuts but I had not shot well with the ball and last night I had 792. Im really liking how smooth the ball is even with the heavy polish on it. I'm very hopeful that this ball will replace my original trains as 1 of them is getting ready to be retired.

I also have a bullet train drilled pin over bridge CG kicked right 5 X 3 1/4 X 3 5/8 I struggled with the 2500 factory finish as the ball would skid badly through oil and way overreact on a little dry. The center I bowl at has a easy 31' medium oil THS I decided to have the surface sanded to 4000 and added polish, now this ball has a nice consistant roll and I can blow out the pocket with a down and in stroker shot at 14.5 mph. When I purchased this ball I was looking for something that would play through the oil but could not get it to carry on the back end. Now I can pick up 10 pins and bring it out after my Aura Paranormal gets too strong.
