Dream on or Covert ops for heavy oil?
« on: May 07, 2018, 04:24:03 PM »
Which would be a better option for heavy oil, longer patterns? Currently use my black ops at 1000 abralon for this condition.Would like to take it back to oob to make it more versatile. What would be a better option to take it’s place at that surface. Dream on, or covert ops, or should I just get another black ops and leave it  oob and keep the old black ops @ 1000. Love the motion of the ops series, so I was leaning towards a covert. Doom, what are your thoughts? Which will handle more oil? Dream on, or covert ops.

I had a dream on and covert ops drilled pretty close to each other and I would say the dream on would be able to handle more oil for sure. But if you love the ops line motion I would stay with covert ops. I'm like you I love the ops line.  I would thing covert with surface would be good unless a flood is out.

Personally, I would go with the On and some surface. As much as I love the Ops series, I would say the combo of the Dream weight block and surface puts it at a notch above the Covert. I have my original On about 4 boards more than my Black Ops, and I haven't touched the surface of my On (Literally) in about a year. A fresh On is going in the bag 45*4.5*65 with 2k as the surface, and that's going to sit below my DCT Pearl in the bag. M y original is OOB 60*5*40 and will be much better to step in with when I really need the wheel.

Thanks guys. Just came back from nationals and strongest piece I had was that black ops at 1000. Could have definitely used something stronger for d/s. Had a bran new hyroad nano that was way to weak, I was shocked how long that ball went on the pattern. Lanes were stupid tight on he backends in d/s. Ground out a 204 triplicate in singles for 612 series. Wishing I had a dream on. Will definitely be drilling one up. Doom you’re the man.
