Title: Eric Thomas my ball rep
Post by: Hoselrockets on March 01, 2010, 12:21:19 AM
Just wanted to drop a big thanks to Eric Thomas for coaching me to my career set ever this past weekend at the Hamtramck Single Classic in Detroit Mi. He told me key thoughts in the most crucial momments as I will try to break them down for you.

1) Even though he never opened his mouth but had a weird feeling I switched from a Clutch to Break Out before the tournament started.

2) He then proceeded to precisly determine to jump back on to the beer train in the early portion of the 1st game.

3) At the end of game two Eric recommended me taking a piece of tape out of the thumb as the "spin release" was getting a bit out of control.

4) Repeat number 2 with some respect toast too.

5) Most important being a part of a quality team at 900 Global that produces quality bowling equipment.

Thanks again Eric for the time last week as it was a blast to bowl with you. Hope to have you back for another squad.

Eric throws the ball well, I've known him for about 6 years and this was the first time I actually saw him throw the ball in a competitive type situation.  I would say he is a slightly rev dominate type player very smooth type release and hooks the ball well.  I think he got to 922 for 4 games changing pairs every game. Overall very solid.

On your own, you didn't know enough to take a piece of tape out of the thumb
hole?

922 felt like 700 for 4 when the guy your bowling with shoots 1104.....Hosel threw the ball great all day.  Easily had 2 300 games snatched away.

As for the tape....when you shoot 279-278 your first 2 you usually have a hard time knowing what to change....but a good ball rep can catch everything. lol

Side note if anyone ever stays at the Detroit Metro Airport Marriott room 162 look under your bed for a nice globe ball.  Bags were over weight so I left some lucky housekeeper or guest a trusty spare ball.

funny, really never look at ET's ears, never recalled them being long and floppy, never noticed he had a hop in his step either. One never knows these days???

Perhaps you could teach me to write in the English language too.  I had to edit this twice because my sentences don''t make sense lol.

Well you could obviously afford to get me 2 or 3, but since you were so nice to hook me up with those shirts, I don''t want to drink too much on your dime

What was your total with Handicap?

P.S.  I was wearing one of those shirts when I shot my first 800 on Friday night in our City Tournament up here (813).  I''''m pretty sure that''''s why it happened...

Okay, so who's going to be the first person to call the hotel and ask them to send them the ball?

(734) 729-7555

"Hi, I was staying in room 162 this weekend.  I think I must have accidentally left a bowling ball.  Could I have that shipped to me?"
