Bounty Hunter
« on: July 30, 2009, 03:51:33 AM »
I'm thinking of trying this ball. I have a Ebonite Magic which pretty strong and I was hoping to get something even stronger.

What can you compare this BH too - Virtual Gravity, Jigsaw, Rogue Cell etc???

I am a mediocre lefty. Above average speed, medium revs (I think)

4 1/8 over, 5/8 down

I currently have a Magic, Striking Motion, Furious, One Pearl, Trop Storm.

Thanks for the input.

The Bounty Hunter from what ive seen is crazy strong, i forget who told me but i read somewhere that it has the same coverstock as the AMF Mega Friction (have yet to confirm this), alot of reviews say its one of the strongest balls out there, i believe its above the VG and the Rogue, idk about the Jigsaw, havent seen that one in action.

If your looking for something stronger than the Magic then the BH would deffently fit the bill there, that and the AMF Mega Friction would be above the Magic.

Well this ball will definitly be stronger than your Magic. I have a Magic right now with a stronger pin placement and stronger MB placement, and it can not handle the oil that the BH can.

The BH's shape is similar in reaction shape to all mentioned only in my opinion a little bit stronger since I have owned a Virtual, bowl with a guy with very comparable form that has a Rogue. It stronger than those 2.

Haven't seen a Jig in anyone's hands other ythan a low rev guy. I have read on here from another member syaing the BH has a couple boards on the Jig.

Ball is a beast and will be a very strong ball on oil. Drill it the same as your Magic or make it a little stronger and you will see a noticable difference

I am a high-speed medium rev individual and I have both a Bounty Hunter and a Jigsaw and would have to say, the BH and Jigsaw are pretty close, just where do you want to get your hook from. The BH I have has a stronger layout on it than the Jigsaw, so naturally it likes to start sooner and not be so strong in the back. The Jigsaw has the pin above the fingers and gets down the lane a few more feet, but really wants to make its move late. I was bowling today on Shark and on the fresh, the BH looked a lot better as it would not come off the pattern too strong. However, as I threw 25 shots on it and blew a hole in the front part of the lane, I could not get the BH to recover as I moved in, but that is where the jigsaw looked better as it was able to recover off the spot and still carry. I think you cannot go wrong with any of those balls you listed. I have thrown them all and the only one that I did not like was the Rogue, just did not match up with that ball, too strong in dry, too weak in oil, ping 10 or ring 10.

Good luck in your decision.
