Got my Break Pearl today

It's got to be the best looking ball I ever owned. It's a blem and has an x at the end of the serial #. Has a 0-1/2" pin. I'm laying it out 3 3/8 x 4 1/2(mb to pap) pin up. The layout winds up being stacked. I don't think I'll have to put a weight hole in it unless I want to change the reaction. Should I take the shine off with 4000 abr or leave it OOB? Can't wait to toss this and see it go down the alley.

Mine is super strong. It is sanded with a worn down 1000 abralon and factory finish polish. It is by far the strongest pearl I have ever thrown. At 4000 polished it was just too much backend so if you want to tame down the backend I would try 4000 no polish or a lot of surface with polish.

Roll it OOB first you may like it.  It's easy to change the surface but sometimes it can be difficult to get it back to OOB.

I also agree the Break Pearl is the strongest pearl I've rolled
