Honey Badger Video
« on: June 28, 2017, 11:37:45 AM »
A video for the Honey Badger, by my friend/co-worker and 900 Regional Staffer Rob Wagner (I just did the filming and editing for him).  Thanks for watching!

Is he throwing 15?

I keep telling people, watch out for this ball.

I ask because of the ruckus that was made about the core numbers. 2.57 0.041 and the ball bounces that hard? #numbersmeaneverything

It's gotta be the asymmetry.  This is at a house that doesn't have strong backends too.  I'm sure saying this is a conflict of interest, but gotta give credit where it's due, the ball looks damn impressive.  If I said otherwise I'd be lying.

I'm a Storm staffer, not a Global staffer, giving a compliment to a ball made by a company I'm not under contract with and am technically in competition with.  Complimenting equipment from a competitor is a conflict of interest.  What "cracks me up" though is that you think saying the Honey Badger is impressive is a lie.  I have sincere doubts and concerns about the quality of the beer you drink.  Please put down the PBR, sir, it has no doubt affected your judgment.

If you know anything about ball motion, you can see that this is a great ball motion.  Proven, underutilized core with a strong pearl cover. Some balls have to be hyped, some balls hype themselves. Having had both Clutches, and I STILL have my pearl, it's going to be a great motion.

Luke is one of the most honest staffers out there. Even IF this was a Storm ball, he's just going to tell it like it is. We know about balls he doesn't like.

I would have had this ball this week instead of the Match Up Solid if it had come out on the 26th like I originally saw posted. Still plan to get it. I'd be interested to see the difference - if any - in ball motion between the 16, 15 and 14. Since I throw 14 now, I'm mostly interested in that.

A local 900 Global staffer did tell me the 14 rolls great. Not sure I can trust him though. He's probably "lieing".

Before everyone gets hung up on numbers, let me remind everyone of the IQ Tour Pearl. 2.49 0.029

I don't remember anyone complaining about that ball... In fact, some people thought it was too much off the spot at times.

I now have to put a Honey Badger on the list.  Have a Ebonite Maverick Pearl, and a Seismic Axion coming soon.  This ball will make it the triplicate.  Very nice motion based on the video.

looks like it rolls smooth but without knowing the lanes IDK. How's it react to wet/dry?

Only going by previous uses of this core, the solid Clutch (which core wise is closer to this ball than the Clutch Pearl) hooked a ton for me, and the cover was F55. The pearl (lower RG, higher diff, F62 pearl) was skid flip without being squirrelly in the mids. With that being said, a stronger pearl cover S71, and the same core as the solid is going to make it strong on the back without going nuts.

Once again, this ball is going to be noticed hard.

Honey Badger has caught my interest especially the higher diff numbers of the 16 lb ball. I also like the fact that it is a true 2 piece ball solid cover to core. Usually only symmetrical balls have that distinction.

after watching more video I have to say this ball reminds me of the street fight with a little more pop.
