Title: Hook?
Post by: qstick777 on March 08, 2011, 11:49:49 AM
New release - domestic or international?

Multiple colors, so is this a new entry level ball to replace the Missing Links?

At the request of 900 Global -- we have had to remove these pics.

USBC website for approved balls.  They seem to have pics for some/most of the new releases going back to late last year.

Despite the multiple colors the lack of polished finish would be puzzling in an entry level ball - high shelf appeal being one of the mission requirements for any entry level equipment.

He said he got the pics from the usbc site for approved balls. ALL balls submitted for approval are sanded down to, I believe, 500 grit there before testing, so these have already been sanded.

"Yeah, I throw AMF. What's it to ya"?

You are likely correct on the sanding - especially as the pictures were pulled.

The Red/Yellow is listed as a solid.

The Purple/Orange is listed as a pearl.

The Dark Blue/Light Blue is not specified.

Given the fairly very recent release of the Missing Links, and the good shelf appeal; unless they are bombing badly in sales hard to see replacing them.

Then again, the Missing Links do come in solid and pearl flavors

Why pull the pics if they're already on bowl.com?

Any word if these are reactive or just urethane? Seems to be a move lately to have urethane in the arsenal.

Roll with 900 Global.

Made in Texas!

Tex,

The Red/Yellow is listed as a solid by the USBC - presume it is reactive resin.

The Purple/Orange is listed as a pearl by the USBC - presume it is reactive rein.

The Dark Blue/Light Blue is not specified.

The USBC has usually shown urethane if the ball was urethane on recent releases. Unfortunately this is not 100% reliable.
