Just picked up a Bank and Shred-It
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:52:32 AM »

Here are some pics of a few nuggets I got drilled up today.  Unfortunately I was not able to throw any of these as I couldn't find any regular open bowling today.

Nice couple of rocks you have there.  You'll enjoy throwing them.

Got to throw both pieces today.  I was very impressed with how low the pins stay with the Bank.  Since they are both at 4k abralon, I was expecting to get more length and angularity with the Shred-It over the Bank.  Here's what I ended up seeing out of these two balls:

1)  Bank:  The ball got through the heads with ease, picked up in the mids very well and flipped hard on the backend.  I wanted something that would be about 3-4 feet earlier than the Shred-It.  I got exactly that.  I wasn't expecting the length I get out of it though.  I'm thinking of hitting it with an 'E' pad.

2)  Shred-It:  This ball also get through the heads with ease.  It turned direction pretty quick off the spot.  I will probably hit it with a 'T' pad to get a little more length.

I did get exactly what I wanted out of these two pieces.  But I wasn't expecting the length I got out of both.  I know the Bank was drilled to go long but it was longer than I wanted.   I knew the Shred-IT was going to get through the heads no matter what with it being a hybrid.  I was very impressed with the continuity of both balls through the pin deck.  Even though these two are now on the archive lists.  If you can pick up either one of these, I would suggest you do so.

1st night with rolling these pieces in league.  Threw the Bank in the first game.  Shot 268.  All shots were solid.  I really tried to keep with the Bank the second game and should have changed to the Shred-It sooner.  It was like the ball lost its drive on me.  I changed to the Shred-It in the 8th frame of the second game and moved 5 boards right with my feet threw the same target and salvaged the game with a 192.  On to game three.  started with a double, left a solid 7 pin in the 3rd frame, packed the next 8 then threw an arrant shot and finished with a 277.

I'm really impressed with both of these pieces.  I probably won't touch the surfaces at this time on either one.  I'm thinking of picking up a second Bank or possibly the Bank Roll.
