Link S30
« on: December 17, 2008, 10:44:53 AM »
I just got my new Link S30 drilled up, and I've got to say that I'm surprised that there's not much talk about it here...  Granted, I know that many that post, if not most, hone their game on house shots and in house shot leagues, but surely even they run across dry conditions where this ball is effective.

I'm bowling in 2 collegiate tourneys in Vegas over the next week, and the expected pattern is the Cheetah, meaning that it should open up quick and cause a move to dry lane equipment.  I've bowled about 20 games or so with this ball on the driest available conditions over the last couple of days, and it is the most impressive dry lane ball I have had punched.  Low game of 212 (today), overall average of 232.  This ball gets down the lane clean, but turns and hits like a damn truck.

If you ever, ever, ever see dry lanes, pick one of these suckers up... I've got drill pattern 3 on it, which is a weak drill, but its still got plenty of hit...

I am starting to really like my Link.

At first I left many corner pins with this ball and didn't use it much.

One night in league when my Awakening was damaged I pulled the Link out and played straighter.  I ended up shooting good numbers to salvage a decent night.

The Link carried some strange and less than likely off pocket hits.  I haven't left a lot of corner pins lately with it gathering I needed to wear the cover in some.  I also find the reaction to be a little more flippy in the back than when I first got it.

The ball doesn't really blow up the rack but it does carry well now and gives me a great reaction I can count on on drier lanes.
