Freight Train
« on: December 29, 2012, 02:25:27 PM »

I had my freight Train drilled up back in September and have rolled it on several different conditions now and I will try to give you my opinions how the ball rolls and reacts for me. I had never used 900 Global equipment before this one but always wanted to try one. Being lucky finally worked out for me, as I won the August Ball Reviews Giveaway. The starting weight was 15.3 with 3 inch pin and 3 oz top weight. After drilling the pin was above my middle finger for a bit more length. I found out early on that the Freight train is very strong out of the box due to the cover stock and the E pad 1500 grit. For most house shots with  38 and 39 feet oil patterns this ball is a little too strong. I took the surface up to with T pad 4000 and the ball went through the heads a lot cleaner and had lots of energy when it hit the pins. The cover stock takes to surface changes very well which allows you to adapt to just about any lane condition. The Freight Train overall likes oil but as the lanes break down you can still move and play inside with a lot of success. My ball seems to thrive inside if I push it right and trust it because of  the strong continuous roll this ball has. I am able to square up and play up the boards with the Freight Train and it works very well. The Freight Train is very versatile for me and I can see that the ball will work for just about any bowling style, using your favorite drilling and surface.
