Maniac layout help.
« on: February 12, 2009, 02:28:10 AM »
I've got a Maniac with 4" pin and 2oz. top weight.  I need a suggestion for a drilling.  My stats are in my profile.  Normally I use 5" layouts.

I was thinking of going with 5" with a 2.5" buffer and adding polish on top of the box finish.

Please give me some suggestions.  Thanks.

I like that drilling but for now leave off the polish, it has length built into it the way it is.

I just drilled up a Maniac.  Ball came with a 3-1/2" pin.  I had it drilled pin above fingers, about 4" above midline, 5" from PAP, with the CG 3-1/2" from PAP.  I've kept it at box finish.  This ball for me is all about control.  It gets great length with a smooth, controllable back end.  I've only got about 6 games on it right now, but it is becoming my favorite, and first out of the bag.

It is smooth outstanding control ball think V2 Sanded with a newer core and cover, I like it the ball always reads true and tells you when too much oil is out there for it.
