Cracked Bounty!!
« on: May 18, 2009, 02:25:28 AM »
After 9 games on my Bounty it cracked.  I take really good care of all my equipment.  I never leave them in the car, always keep them in the house and clean them after every set.

These things happen. Have you contacted your proshop yet? or anyone at Global yet? I have never had an issue with the Customer Service with global/amf when dealing with good or bad things.

There are numerous things that can make a ball crack.  Dull drill bits.  If you have grips, the bridge could have been too narrow.  Or, a finger hole is less than an inch from the pin.  Without knowing where the ball cracked, that's why I listed those things.  900 Global takes very good care of their customers.  The first thing you need to do is take it back to the pro shop where you purchased it at, which I am hoping that is where got it.

When I have a ball crack, the first thing I do is go online and make a topic about it. It usually makes the ball magically heal itself so I don't have to get it replaced.

Good move OP.

Whew...tough crowd.

SKIP, no doubt you're very frustrated as I would be if I was in your shoes.  As txnohandsam states, you should contact the proshop where your purchased/drilled the ball.  If you bought from an internet retailer, then I suggest you contact 900 Global directly.

These things do happen, just be patient and reach out to the appropriate folks.

Unfortunately we require you go back through the channel you purchased it. Regardless of where you purchased the ball.

Easy solution. I had a N-Code that cracked around the fingers. It was one of my favorite. I just called the person that sold me the ball. Told him about the situation. Took pictures of the cracks around the finger holes. The AMF people saw the pictures and told me that they will be sending me a new N-Code. I sent to them the cracked N-Code and got a new ball 3 days later. Drilled it and having fun again.

Thanks to Tekneek and Eric Thomas. Great service.
