If you got a promo NETWORK whats your thoughts of it?
« on: January 27, 2014, 10:41:24 PM »
If you ordered a Network and already drilled it up, what are your thoughs  so far of how it rolls and reacts for you?   lets hear what you thoughts are on a great ball  :D

If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

Got mine today. Laid it out pin under bridge 4x4. I average 205. After struggling my first game getting used to the roll shot 175. Proceeded to shoot 246 245 235 for 901 (we bowl 4 games on Mondays) love the roll and it finished hard. I was able to open up in games 3 and 4 and had minimal carry issues more mental errors.

I'll make this spot mine for when I roll it this Friday at league.. I'm gonna put a 50x5 1/2x30 on it and I'll report back after league(maybe during) cause it will be going up against my same drilled critical theory for a spot in the bag lol.
-UPDATE-
drilled it 45x5 1/4x30 and rolled it in practice and was surprised at how well it rolled ,I had a better look tonight with my critical theory, next week IM gonna use the network only and see how I fare...went 687 with my critical theory tonight ...

It will be much stronger.  It has a  NEAT "T" Pad (4,000 grit) finish compared to the Byte's polished finish.  It has a lower RG (2.48 vs 2.52), a higher differential (0.053 vs. 0.043) and a strong intermediate differential (0.030 vs. 0.020).

Thanks good to see will not overlap, This is my first 900 Global now to see what to take out of the league arsenal current Storm Byte, Nexxus f(P+R), Lane #1 pearl panther, DV8 brutal nightmare, Aura. use Bite 80% of time pearl panther 10% others other 10% Carry 6 but one is plastic.

Not what I expected, drilled 4x4x2 same as my Byte so I could give an accurate comparacence. overall good carry but was longer and less overall hook then my box Byte with 50+ games on it. I expected it to out hook the Byte but not the case at all. Will not replace Byte as first out of the bag but will fit between the Byte and the Pearl Panther. Just to much length to be first out of the bag.

I have not had a chance to drill my Network yet.  I'm out of Grip-Loc outer sleeves at the moment and need to order some.  I'm bowling a tournament this weekend and would have loved to have it available, oh well.

Did you try moving left and putting a little more oil underneath the Network?  With a lower RG, higher differential, higher intermediate differential and lower surface, the only reason you would see this kind of reaction compared to the Byte would be if your ball was burning up (especially given the 4x4x2 layout).

Agree with TJ on the Network reading super early. Byte is polished if I'm not mistaken. Polish will definitely allow the ball to retain the energy and provide a stronger backend motion. At ~4k and no polish with a strong layout and the low RG/high int diff, the Network will read a lot earlier. It defintely pushes me left even with a 70*x5*x40* layout. I am able to use mine to start, but I am atleast 7-8 boards deeper with my feet and atleast a full arrow deeper as well compared to the Protocol or Eagle Pearl. Definitely try starting out deeper left where there will be more oil in the middle.

first am a lefty, and was not burning up the 7 pins I was leaving were not weak the 4 pin was flying around it, has great continuation and does not deflect and I'm not saying bad ball just more length then I expected. in comparing the carry of the Byte and Network, Byte higher pocket % Network would carry light hits all most 100% of the time but usually if carry light get in trouble if even a pinch high and that was the case a little high and you are looking at the 6-7-10. 2nd game with ball was best game had 9 strikes 2 7pins and a 7-10. So not bashing ball just saying different then expected which is OK, don't care how much a ball hooks as long as it strikes. if wanted hook moster a Mastermind or Reax 2 would be in bag all ready have a Nexxus f(p+r) that I rarely use.

I am gonna put a coat of polish on the network and it will be the perfect ths ball. It was just reading a bit too early compared to my polished critical theory. But with a extra foot or two of length in sure it will top my critical. It did roll through the pins nice though, very impressed

UPDATE:
met up with a friend last night and after his league ended and bowled 3 games with him , I decided to use only the network . Seeing as the lanes still had a good amount of oil I lined up and shot 242,269,234 I was amazed at how well the ball got down lane and just destroyed the pocket every time. I have not added polish yet ,as I added two pieces of white tape and that allowed me to not squeeze at all which added speed&revs ,and boy did it help...... Hope I can shoot that in league next week ha ha

I picked mine up yesterday from the shop and took it with me to league.   My league shot is a modified house shot.  Get it left, it's gone, get it right it's gone.  I was having trouble throwing it in warm ups, so I decided to start with my Misfit and go up the boards with it.  Shot 245.  2nd game I completely lost everything I was doing aka throwing the ball like pooh, so I made the switch to the Network with 81 in the 6th.  I moved in two and a half boards with my feet, and found the pocket.  I struck in the 7th, 8th, 9th and first of the 10th before leaving a 10 pin on a shot that I got a mitt full with.  Finished up with 190.

Stuck with it the 3rd game, front 4, 10 pin make, 7 pin miss, split, off the sheet for 236.

Moving in with this ball, allowed me to open it up a little bit, as long as my ball speed was close.  A lot more smooth than I anticipated, which for me is never a bad thing for me.

I need to do a little more work on the thumbhole so I can get out of the ball easier, but so far, I really like the way it rolls.  I bowl on a wide open house shot on Thursdays, so I'll be interested to see what it can do with some area.

I got the Network from Global and me and Mike Flora from Wolfes Bowling Supply who drills all my equipment decided to see what would happen if we drilled it up to go sideways off the spot and WOW this balls goes left and a steep angle that when it hits it destroys the rack keeps the pins low and in play more and the carry is UNBELIEVABLE the way the ball just scatters pins everywhere. I would like to thank 900 Global and their Staff for making such great equipment and everything they do for me and my local Pro shop for drilling all my Equipment Thank you very much 900 GLOBAL and Mike Wolfe @WOLFES BOWLING SUPPLY for everything you do. this 1 2 punch is amazing.

So if you don't have one yet then you need to get one asap and you will not regret it unless you don't get one.

what would you suggest as a solid step down ball(keep same line) the eagle pearl? cause the ball rolled very well , but i feel a solid step down ball will improve my scores during the 2nd half of the second game and third game...
