Title: New 900 global heavy oiler
Post by: tizzle on February 04, 2009, 05:27:35 PM
Just wanted to give heads up to all those debating on buying a heavy oiler, you may want to hold out. I am not entitled to discuss the details, but its supposed to be a monster on the backend! It will be out there in a few weeks!

Is it the Break Point that Tekneek sent me a PM about?

not at liberty to discuss the name, but if you don't see enough oil for the bounty or s75, you should not even think of bringing this ball out!

Nothing like the introduction of pattern blowers prior to Nationals and the porosity deadline.

Yes very nice ball, really dig the colors on this one. As with all Globals stuff, it shines up real well. Joe Brock one of the Staffers shot 300 last night using this new ball. No idea what the surface was on this ball, as we have opened a 3rd shop and I am not around Joes shop much anymore. It did have polish, but no Idea if he changed the surface before hand.

The Break Point is a S73 cover with 2.535rg, .040 diff and .015 int. diff, so I think it will be more of a ball to control your break point

changed the densities, raised the rg, lowered the rg diff should fit between the Break and S-75 in terms of strength or oil handling capability. Solid cover, some may look at the ball and think it is a hybrid, but it is a solid veneer, even though it may appear to be a part pearl it is simply the color having a pearl appearance, no pearl in the resin base.

I think the three of these will have similar overall hook with slightly varying breakpoint locations & shapes.

I got that it fits between the Break and the Bounty. The implication is that it replaces the S75 Break which I guess has not been the sales success it should have been.

Probably people didn't wait the 20 games or so it takes a Soaker coverstock to "come alive". I'd also guess that S75s will not be going for less money and smart people will be trying to buy them, show a tiny bit of patience and reap mega-rewards!! When those Soakers "come alive", they freaking explode the pocket.

Proud owner of Bounty, S75 and Break Pearl!  Several more games to go on the S75 (haven't touched the cover )  Have added some Snake Oil to the Bounty just to get some games on it (can't find conditions for it in OOB - )  Break Pearl is 'butter'  S75 read the mids oh so lovely (use it when I sub - modified shot bout 39' of oil

Shame folks haven't the patience for this ball ... rather patience for the Soaker Cover

Its weird cause my s-75 gave me a less desirable reaction after getting the games on it. It covered close to the same amount of boards and hit with less pop and struggled carrying. Refreshed the surface again and it was back to new. To me all the soaker technology does is prolong the life of the ball. My opinion is people are just seeing the compound wear off a little causing the ball to have more surface.
