ahhh the drill does matter
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:47:12 AM »
My second bank is money. I had it drilled 3 and 3/8 pin under 60 degree and it is my first game ball. 1st time out was decent. Showed a glimmer of hope, but when the shot goes its gone there is no moving or adjusting for me. Friday night after having a bad look with my other stuff I decided to try the bank. I hadn't thrown it yet so I was leery. !st shot split then a 4 pin then the next six. All she wrote though not enough oil.
Last night I figured I'd be able to use it so it was the first choice. Longer and heavier than the previous outing the bank was just what I was looking for,I've been bowling pretty bad league nights so I know a low six isn't much to write about, but I was able to string strikes,be comfortable with a ball and what I thought it would do and have confidence in myself and the ball. After 4 bad frames I strung 6 and finished with a 209. Then the front six before the lanes started to change. I got fast left a 10 and then got slow on the same lane and left the 6 10 so it wasn't meant to be last night. Shot 249 and that is the best of the season. For me,its a notch in the win column, and I believe I'm on my way back to consistency. I can repeat shots, its the getting lined up on the tougher shots that gets me I think I may have solved this problem with my new bank,so glad my teammate wanted the other one so bad.
