Title: Official Awakening Topic
Post by: The Bowlers Edge 2 on December 18, 2008, 01:25:22 AM
Greetings all,
I have just come and replied to topics about the ball and answered questions when I could, here is the official post.
The promo info can be found here: http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff192/The_Bowlers_Edge/Awakening/?action=view¤t=untitled.jpg

We wanted to make a ball with a good midprice ball that pro shops would not be afraid to buy into because they wouldn't be killed in a year like so many bowling balls are. A pro shop could put this ball on the shelf and years later when a customer comes in and asks for (another) one, they will still be in production!

14-16 Lbs were made, and we can take specs requests. Price is 110 shipped to the public, pro shops can call or email for their pricing.

Thank you!

Ball fits between the creatures and the breaks. Can't fairly compare it to the maniac due to the pearl/solid difference.

Ahhhhhhhh. Now this is marketing! A very smart move, whoever thought of this ball!

I will buy this ball! The old Messenger series core. You get control, and power at the pin deck! Just what we've been waiting for.

Great job 900 Global! You cannot lose with this piece!

I don't know why so long.  My proshop ordered Bountys, Breaks and Awakenings the Friday before Thanksgiving and he had them the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I LOVE my Awakening!

"Isn't that the "Element" core from D/T?"

I was thinking the same thing. Thinking ZR-40 clone / update and that was one of my favorite balls at the time ( had 3 in my bag)

Light Bulb - Top Hat weight blocks are still great..straight up or inverted,
all 4 Elements used them and they were great balls.

Ya i have a NE10 that at first was not reacting right, but now that it has 20 or so games on it, it is awesome, so i would think if the awakening is similar except pearl, it would be a good ball. The NE10 is as is very even but strong arc in the back.

On a few other Awakening posts it was said it's the Messenger TI core without the TI nugget.

The design looks like a lot of cores, who knows,...but it's a great, proven
design...I'll buy one of the Awakenings.

The more I throw my Awakening, the more I like it.  It's much stronger than I expected.  It is rolling how I expected my Break Pearl to roll.  My Break Pearl was way too strong.
