bank versus mission,nvd
« on: January 17, 2011, 07:26:56 AM »
I know the nvd is older, but I thought it relevant, because at the time of purchase it was my favorite strong ball. This is going to be brief. The bank is oob pin under ring, its a pin in ball so nothing else is really pertinent, nvd is 3 and 3/8x45 pin under at 1000 and the mission is 500 grit pin over bridge 45 degree mb. I started out in warm ups with the mission and it was equal to the bank. I dont know what the shot is ,but I am standing 17 playing 13 to 7, super tight for me. I threw all of warm ups switching balls and the mission was very impressive so I put the bank away.

Lights come on 10 minutes later and the other team doesnt show up ,my team is short so its another 15 minutes before we bowl. 1st shot with mission I strike. Next 4 shots the ball loses all drive,it was as if they re-oiled the lanes with the carry down. I threw 1 shot with the nvd and hit the 6 pin in the face. I then picked up the bank and finish with the next 5 in the pocket and a 7 count to finish the game for 173.

Nvd and mission in the bag 248 front nine 266,(split),with the bank. I dont know if i just have more confidence throwing the bank on this shot, but of all my equipment the bank is the ball that gives me a look to the pocket. I know when I make a bad shot and on a good shot I get the desired and expected result. Unfortunately the only time I can use the bank is on this shot. Carry and predictability breeds confidence. I have learned the bank is a down and in piece and when the line goes move right into the oil and it will continue to deliver, since I have figured this out the ball impresses me more and more,if I could only get that in my other leagues with ,"lesser shots",cause the bank makes this an easy shot for me.

900 is one of the most underrated companies out their, at least around the Fox Valley area of WI their is only one or two guys that use 900, Bass being one of them.

But 900s stuff reads and carries so easy it is just amazing, even on tougher conditions 900s stuff is consistent and easy to handle. I use Seismic so I get 900 covers and cant Imagine going to anything different.
