Question
« on: August 05, 2009, 08:29:59 AM »
My Break got a crack, just beneath the fingers and I called Global and they said it will be replaced.  I did not have a lot of games on it, probably no more than 20, bought it in March and really haven't used it.  I went to my driller and he said the first batch of Break's were made by Storm and they were known to crack.

In any case, if I'm getting a new ball, I'm not sure which one.  What's the feedback on the Bounty Hunter, Break Point and Break Point Pearl?

Feedback is appreciated!

Thanks...

Are you looking to replace your break, or do you want a different reaction than what the break gave you?

the bounty hunter, break point and the break point pearl all will be stronger then the original break.. earlier and angular even though the one is a pearl the cover is stronger.. may I ask how the first one was drilled?? a friend had a original break crack on him (also one of the first batches to be poured) and 900 global replaced it too, they suggested to make sure when drilling that you put the pin aleast an inch away from any drilled holes.. hope this helps..

Pin about 1/3 of an inch from ring finger.  I never really liked the original break, it was more for med - dry conditions.

I'm looking for something that moves like the Virtual Gravity / Sauce in oil or like the Hot Sauce / Virtual Energy in medium conditions.

Then you probably want the Bounty Hunter(like a VG) or Break Point Pearl(like a Hot Sauce).  The Break Point is between them in overall strength but not as angular as either of them.

The Bounty Hunter can react very similar to a Virtual Gravity, depends on layout, me personally i had a VG and drilled my BH the same way and also another person did the exact same thing with his VG and BH. The difference is the BH is stronger out of box, but if you polish it it becomes very similar to a box finish VG on a ths.

Not sure if you are familiar with Lane #1 Secret Sauce, but this is the polish we use and is great for any ball. The only thing this polish will do is create more length without taking away the backend. Also this product does not clog up the pores like the Power House polish's will due to they use animal fat in their product. If you have not used this product i would recommend that you at least try it.

You need to keep in mind the price point of the Break.  I imagine you could get a Break Point or lower.
