For some reason I can't pull up the 900 Global website on my iPhone. I've been getting an error message for the last 3 hours. Is the site down?

Okay, gotta say it......don't like it.

I actually liked the old page.  It was functional.  Everything was easy to find, and everything worked fine.

Where's the "ball" page?  I hate having to choose products, balls, and then select a series to see the balls.  Seeing a list that says "Profit Series," "Break Series," etc does nothing for me.  Put all the balls on one page and let me see them before I pick them (see "archive" page).  Believe it or not, people do choose balls based on the way they look.

What's with the 3 pics on the home page?  Why do they cycle through only once with no way to go back to the beginning?  I missed the first one and had to reload the page to see it.

Perhaps all of this stuff is still being worked on?  I see the pics of the profit, shoes, shirts, and bags and think that perhaps eventually those will link to a balls, shoes, apparrel and bags pages - as the other site did?

Currently I click on the Profit and it takes me to here: http://www.900global.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=84rofit&catid=41:showcase-rnp-1&Itemid=172

No pic of the actual ball, just a pic of the core and a description.  No chart with the numbers?  No reaction shape chart?

Sorry, maybe it adds more functionality somewhere else, but it seems like a step back to me.  I want to go and find the information......fast.

Just my $0.02.

And why is it so slow?  I'm on a connection that is getting 23Mbps down and 18Mbps up and the site is taking too long to load something as simple as 1 pic.

Not sure why Qstick777 is having issues.  I got on their website no problem.  Prefer the drop downs better too.  I don't think it's a step backwards.  However, everyone has their own preference and you can't please everyone unfortunately.

I very much appreciate the 12 and 13 pound ball specs - knowing a bowler's style and the ball specs, it makes it much easier to suggest the appropriate ball to customers throwing lighter weights - Thanks

Seems slow to load and it is not as user friendly if you ask me. I liked the old site much better.

Guys...lol
Its a work in progress.  We wanted to get it loaded up and online so that information on the new balls would be accessible.  I appreciate the "constructive" criticism.  The old site we had very little control over.  We could not build on to it.  This site will become much more user friendly and allow us to open the door to things we want to do and show our users.  Give us some time to tweak everything.

& j00/\/\L4 r0(|<$!

You mean PHP is still around?  Funny, our manager of programming and web development laughed at me when he saw me carrying a PHP book (I bought from the discount/clearance section) a few years ago.  He said something about free software and it being a joke and no real programmer or developer would ever use it.  ????  That was a few years ago.  He''s still here, and they''re still trying to figure out how to re-write applications to work in something other than IE 6 .   Maybe one day I''ll get around to reading that book?

I appreciate that it''s a work in progress.  I was just pointing out what I didn''t like.  I would like a landing page for the balls - I don''t like having to navigate to a drop-down every time I want to see a different ball (or ball series) - seems like more work.

Same with the shoes - having the names doesn''t tell me anything.  I guess I should assume that the drop-down list is ordering the shoes (and balls) by performance level?

But like I said, it''s just my opinion.  The old site may not have been fancy, but it was easy to find the information.  I know the big push is for everything to have all this multimedia and be interactive and everything else.  Gotta have your facebook, myspace, twitter, Web 2.0, mash-ups, collaboration and all that stuff.

Sometimes simplier is better?

Edit 6/3:  Thank you for the "ball" page:  http://900global.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=134&Itemid=174

Are you guys going to put a logo on the front page?

Work in process - change is good I guess.  Give you guys the ability to make changes and be more interactive.

Looks similar to the new AMF site, but seems a little slower than that site.  Different hosting or different server, or I guess it could just be me.

Seems to be running a little better now, maybe they moved them?  I didn't think to check before, but it looks like they are on the same server.
