Resurfaceing my Long Shot
« on: January 20, 2011, 04:57:32 PM »
I took my Long Shot to the pro shop today to get it resurfaced to OOB. The pro shop guy wasn't familiar with 900 Global stuff and didn't know how to get the ball back to the OOB polished surface. What do I do? I guess I have to go around to different pro shops and see if anybody knows how to get my Long Shot back to OOB.

Klynn,

Our products are very easily resurfaced.  There is an article on our website that explains the steps that we take here at the factory to finish a ball to the specificed finish.  The Longshot is a "Polished" finish.  For starters step down your current longshot through a series of grits (4000, 2000, 1000, 500, 360).  Once your ball is ~ 360 grit follow the steps in the chart located within the tech article to bring your ball back to our "polished" finish.  The compound you will need is a ~ 800-1000 grit rough compound followed by a 1200-1500 grit finer compound and then finally a ~ 2000 grit polish. If you have any further questions let me kow.
