Rip It?
« on: February 28, 2013, 05:37:44 PM »
In watching the USBC Open preview, the 900 Global booth showed and mentioned a ball called the Rip It.  Any info on release and specs yet?

any advice on drilling for me for the rip it.

I am a higher rev player with above average ball speed and want to get down lane but pop on the backend also want to be able to be a go to ball when the heads start to break down so advice would be appreciated am drilling tomorrow before league but was thinking drilling like my dirty look which is 55x4x50 which gives me the length but not the pop i want so any good suggestion

I would keep the drill angle the same as your dirty look, maybe go with a 4.5" or 5" pin to pap, but change the val angle to something like 35*. This should give the ball decent length and some backend pop that you are looking for. Just my thoughts. Let us know what you go with and how it works. I'm really excited about this one, and can't wait to get mine.

talk with pro shop and went with 50x4x50 and shot 770 out of the box ballis smooth thru the heads with this drilling and not erratic on the back end with plenty of punch had 4-9 and 7-10 last game cost me 800 out the box ball is going to be amazing
If it is worth doing then do it right.

Rick C   I drilled mine with pin above the ring finger and thought it might go a little long for me but it set up really nice with a ton of backend movement & it has a ton of pop to it as well when it hits the pocket :)  Not sure id go pin down with my ball speed but it might work that way for others..  i guess you'll have to go out and get you 1 to find out :)  good luck  ;D
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

I have some ordered, just hope it is as good as the King Cobra. I was not a fan of the core in the OMG Pearl, maybe the cover and not the core. In any event I have a few coming for those who might want to try it out.
