In watching the USBC Open preview, the 900 Global booth showed and mentioned a ball called the Rip It. Any info on release and specs yet?
-
The cat is out of the bag now, someone give up the specs. The colors of the ball look great.
-
I wonder if that is a new AMF, since they have the Grip. Would fit into the old saying. I can't seem to open the AMF web lately.
-
I was leaning more towards it being in the AMF line too. They have the Grip and had the Shred-It. It would seem to fit as a variation on either. I haven't had any luck with the AMF website either.
-
Its off the approved ball list now. Alleyhoops is on there, though.
-
the ball is going to be released April 1st. Its a mid performance ball that is pretty much a remake of the longshot but with a different core :) & similar #s
-
I don't trust anything that comes out on April 1st. :-P

Up on 900 Global's website:
http://www.900global.com/index.php/products/balls/ripit.html (http://www.900global.com/index.php/products/balls/ripit.html)
Should be interesting, didn't really see the hula core as skid/flip. Basically an OMG Pearl with a weaker cover. Love the colors though.
-
Asymmetric? Looks like a rg shatter. Finally, a ball between the hooks and wisdom/jewel (Go ahead, tell me the sure thing is "weaker")
-
I believe that "Asymetrical" is a typo on the website. Has the same core numbers as the OMG Pearl.
I like the gap filler between the Wisdom/Jewel and the Hooks. Just what I was looking for. This one should easily find a place in my bag, should compliment the King Cobra or Sure Thing very well.
-
After I drill the lot of things I have to drill this weekend (Look, Train, Freight Train, Hook B/G and B/P, Torrid, Slant HD and maybe my Jewel), this and a Sure Thing are going to find their way home to me as well.

Whoever said the Sure Thing was "weaker" lied.
-
I could see someone saying "Well, the shell on the Sure Thing is weaker, so it's weaker than the Wisdom and Jewel."
Mmmm, this is getting interesting.

any advice on drilling for me for the rip it.
I am a higher rev player with above average ball speed and want to get down lane but pop on the backend also want to be able to be a go to ball when the heads start to break down so advice would be appreciated am drilling tomorrow before league but was thinking drilling like my dirty look which is 55x4x50 which gives me the length but not the pop i want so any good suggestion
-
sorry need this to be between my hook and the king cobra

I would keep the drill angle the same as your dirty look, maybe go with a 4.5" or 5" pin to pap, but change the val angle to something like 35*. This should give the ball decent length and some backend pop that you are looking for. Just my thoughts. Let us know what you go with and how it works. I'm really excited about this one, and can't wait to get mine.
-
talk with pro shop and went with 50x4x50 and shot 770 out of the box ballis smooth thru the heads with this drilling and not erratic on the back end with plenty of punch had 4-9 and 7-10 last game cost me 800 out the box ball is going to be amazing
-
I think this is going to get drilled 50x5x65 for me. Replace my Link (maybe?)
-
It's on 900 Global's website now
-
Rick C I drilled mine with pin above the ring finger and thought it might go a little long for me but it set up really nice with a ton of backend movement & it has a ton of pop to it as well when it hits the pocket :) Not sure id go pin down with my ball speed but it might work that way for others.. i guess you'll have to go out and get you 1 to find out :) good luck ;D

I have some ordered, just hope it is as good as the King Cobra. I was not a fan of the core in the OMG Pearl, maybe the cover and not the core. In any event I have a few coming for those who might want to try it out.
