hey crazyyankee
depending on how many games you have on this ball, you should not clean it as much as you would a regular resin ball.. these balls get stronger the more you use them.. they like the oil for some reason.. about 50-60 games before cleaning unless you see a big difference in your reaction then you are use to.. your lane masters cleaner will work fine(4-5 times worth) or tracks clean and dull(w/a spinner product likes heat).. if you go the route of simply green I would go 50/50 simply green and water(1drop dawn soap),(no alcohol).. there is a company that has a all natural orange aid(orangessmells better) that works well 50/50 to water(1drop dawn soap) also.. myself I have never really needed to go the warm bath way.. hope this helps.. slashrr69

While I don't know for sure, but since I do know that sanding them to get them to react better in the first few games does NOT help, I suspect that they must absorb about 20 - 25 games worth of game oil to kind of "prime the pump". Keep in mind this is only a guess on my part.

I am going through this is with an older but newly drilled Thing Lives right now. AT first, of course, the reaction was nice and smooth, the way I like it. lately it's started to make a left turn (even at 1000 grit matte finish). So I can't use it where I wanted to, might need a weight hole. I'm just entering the 20 game mark. (NOTE: I am NOT saying yours will be flippy.)

So, if I were you I'd do as slashrr69 suggests: only clean off the grunge and dirt that will interfere with the ball's rolling, like belt marks and rough surface dirt.

With it being a soaker does it get to a point where there is too much oil in the ball and it begins to lose its reaction?? Also is the Break s70 and pearl soakers??

I've owned a bunch of the Dyno soakers & can tell you for a fact that the worst thing to do is resurface them.  The ball has to go through the break-in peroid all over again but I found that they never get back the reaction they had when original.

Anyone understand how a soaker actually works?? You would think it would be a technology used more often.I don't get how when a ball is filled with oil it would "hook more". Just curious. Also, changing the surface of the s75 would result in a need to start the break-in period again??

Yes, but it is far extended over regular balls. Estimates I have seen vary from a minimum of 200 games on up.

As far as I have heard, only the Break S75 is a Soaker.

I have changed the surface and cleaned my S75 several times and it seems that it is now not hooking near as much as it did when it was new.

How did you clean it and with what?

I keep trying to get it back to OOB condition without not much luck. Maybe I just need to leave it alone and get a bunch of games on it.

Try 600 grit sandpaper and a rubbing compound like Track's Clean and Sheen or Valentino's Resurrection.
Use it for about 20 games with any changed surface before expecting a normal "soaker" reaction.

Resurrection works great, I resurfaced 3 break s75's with it during our mini tradeshow yesterday.

when i got it it was 4000 abralon with snake oil and 10 games on it.changed it to 2000 abralon.first 3 games in league with it shot 202,202,278=682.next night it had such a wicked snap that i left 5 solid 9 pins and almost left 2 more till i moved left.i was throwing it up around the 7 or 8 board.i just cleaned it a little with lanemasters cleaner.i called global 900 and a tech said it was alright to clean it.
