s70 hybrid
« on: April 02, 2013, 02:20:45 PM »
With all the success in the past between the s70 solid and pearl wonder why we haven't ever seen a s70 hybrid. Unless I'm forgetting about something i don't ever remember it being used. I would have to think they have tested that combination together, must have just not worked??

Then use it on oil. I personally could see using a little rougher grit on the Black Eagle. Then use it for heavy. Best ball I've ever thrown (Black break)

Agreed doom. I think i liked the original break more than the black eagle tho. The black eagle seems to be slightly stronger and is a little more prone to roll out for me. I could add surface to the break and it would just become a monster and never quit. Could be the conditions I'm on these days too tho....

Tdub, The HOOK MONSTER is another great ball that 900 Global has designed, it's awesome! I like throwing all there overseas balls that they have made over the years ( I have thrown most all of them )  They give me a different look on the back end to carry the corner pins better at times. I threw the HOOK Monster several times over the summer & I loved the reaction I got from it on the Shark -scorpion & Earl Anthony oil patterns with fresh back ends. This ball is very angular & takes some ball speed to help it get down the lane on your THS.. This ball reacts for me is like another overseas ball they releases back in 2009 (The Prison Break, Loved that ball just as much ) very angular as well & I needed ball speed to throw it as well..   I have a couple NIB 1s left that are part of my collection that I will NOT part with. This ball has been out for almost a year now & people are just now hearing about it :) go figure LOL.   The weight block in the Hook Monster ball is a 1 of a kind & nothing like all the others they have designed specs are  S-73 cover RG 2.516 Diff 0.049 <  Id like to see them put this weight block with the Rip/IT cover:)  hey maybe I have come on to something here for a up coming release for 900 GLOBAL..  8)
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

The hook monster does look nice. Just haven't seen them available. I tend to like symms more but the only strong covered symms in the global lineup I've thrown are the train series and they are all too strong covered for me. I start getting over s73 and i start having issues with roll out....unless i polish them with control it....

Impending Doom. The BREAK Pearl S-70 would be another great ball for you to have in your bag i believe. I still think it's 1 of the better balls they have come out with over the years( I myself think it's in the top 3 of all there releases) I also think it rolls better today then when I got it back in mid 2008. This is 1 of the only balls I have kept in over 5+ years Ive been throwing 900Global equipment, that shpould say something about this ball ) Once in a while you may see 1 pop up on eBay but they do tend to go for alot of $$$. Ill keep my eyes open for a NIB 1 and if the specs are not what IM looking for ILL let you know :) , I'm sorry but IM not parting with my NIB 1's because I want to be able to drill another 1up if somethings was to happen to 1 of the 2 I have drilled up now :) sorry . That's another reason I have collected all these RARE gems over the years( I'm still looking for  RARE gems to add to my collection every day  :-X ) . This way 5-10 years down the road if I want to drill 1 up I'M still able to do this with out paying an arm or a leg if IM even to find any of these balls then  ;)

Nonono, I was saying the Break Point Pearl, not the Break Pearl.

Also, The Hook Monster is a Velocity core with updated cover. I LOVED my Velocity and Maximum Velocity. If I could find a Hook Monster, I totally would get one.

it will be a very hard find.. I got luckly last week and found my 2nd NIB Hook Monster  for a reasonable price. I'M lucky but then again i have a ton of connections in many different states.  I only have 2 Break point pearls set aside( wish i had more ) .. there has been 1 listed on eBay for almost 2 years now and I think hes looking to get 135 i think for it with free shipping.. the specs are not the greatest, thats why i havent pulled the trigger on buying it. the Break Point you have there NIB is also a great ball.. you might want to think about putting holes in that as well :)

IDK,hard to beat the break on heavier conditions.ball is smooth.I wanted the eagle for when I move in but not as jumpy as the pearls. I admit the BPP is no slouch either.I think the eagle is staying out of my bag for awhile.

I hear you Six pack. I left mine in the bag tonight as well, only threw the Rip/IT and had an easy 742 set with it with only 2 opens ( both 7-10 splits ) or I cold of had another 800 series tonight with it :(  this ball is way under rated.  289 with a solid 8 pin  222 and a 231 tonight. not been under 700 since Ive been throwing the Rip/IT ;D  this ball is a keeper for sure

tdub, Id like to see alot of things but not that ;0  if your going to go out side the box, then really go out side the box. Have 900 Global make a ball useing the core of the Hook Monster with the Rip/IT cover stock.. now thats thinking out side the box :)
