Has anyone sanded a Zen? What changes did you see? I know the standard answer should be earlier, rounder, etc... but did the surface take the adjustment easily?
Thanks in advance

The surface will adjust very easily. But is this just a general question or are you seeing something that you feel you need to make the adjustment? The left side typically has a little less volume than the right side as it is.

I did mine. Put a 2000 pad on it early in the season, and yes it adjusts easily. Definitely made it earlier, but because of the lesser volumes we play on now....I can't stay with it as long as I did when it was polished out of the box.
It tends to dive very hard on the backend for me now, the longer I stay with it.

I sanded mine to 3000 as it was going too long. Love the reaction now, Great ball. Go for it. 8)

Thanks for the responses. This is one of those balls I feel like I'll love, but I just need to tune it a bit. Last week I left 13... THIRTEEN! 7 pins on the left. I made every adjustment I could, but it just wasn't happening. I'm no stranger to 7's and adjustment, but it was just not there. And this isn't the first week it happened, either. Time to try a different surface.

Pull the trigger. I tweaked one for a speed dominant friend (1000, 2000, 3000) and the ball was much better.

Ok... I'll put it at 2K and report back later this week.

I hit mine with a 4000 pad this week. The reaction improved.

Update: I sanded my Zen 4 sides with a fresh 2000 pad and was able to turn it into a marshmallow. Back to the drawing board. I think I'll try 3000 next, then 4K. If none of that works, then I will have to take back every nice thing I've said about it.

I went through this with a DV8 Pitbull that I have been working with for a couple of years. Despite several different surfaces I couldn't get it to react the way I wanted. It went to the landfill today.

I tried 3000 last week. 268 first game, totally my own $%^& fault for missing 300 BUT it only lasted one game before turning into a 7 pin machine (lefty). I'll give it one more shot at 4K, curious to see what happens. Have there been cover issues with the Zen?
