Set up for nationals?
« on: March 31, 2008, 11:52:31 AM »
I was putting the thought in my head of going to nationals this year with the 900 global gear.  Only planning on 3 balls, what would be and how would you lay them out?  I'm a stroker med speed and med hand at most.  see profile for current lineup.  Thanks to all that reply

900G Break (4.5 x 4)
900G Break Pearl (5 x 4.5)
900G Creature Pearl or Creature Solid (4.5 x 4) -- minus this if your spare ball equals three.

...or something like that. Personally, I'm bringing five this year:

900G Break (Rico)
AMF Code
900G Break Pearl (Rico)
AMF Hei$t (6 x 5, polished) or 900G Creature Pearl (4 x 4)
Spare

Rev, I was thinking pretty close to what you were except the creature.  I was thinking more of another break pearl rico possibly.  Don't know tossing up the idea.  Thanks fro replying

Break Pearl rico is still pretty strong, for a well-rounded arsenal I'd go with something a little smoother downlane.

my 2 cents
1) Break over the label pin next  ring finger cg to 1/2 pos.side ( on the freash go up the boards)
2) Break Pearl Pin 5 cg 4 1.2( singles and doubles for when you have to go away from the pocket)
3) Creature solid  pin 4 1/2 cg 3 1/2 with balance hole (ball should read friction but not over react, just in case)

on ball #1 under the thumb or there about. ball #2 to the right of the thumb. If the pin and cg are placed as I mentioned than the spin spot will fall in these two places.
