thanks for the props Jim. This is just a little update, Danny and the gang sent me a 4" pin with 3-1/2 ounces top weight, telling me it was stronger than what the core numbers would indicate. With that in mind I wanted to get a true showing of the balls strength, so I drilled it 5 x 4 no x-hole, to match the drilling on my Heist 5 x 4 (3-1/2" pin) drilled the same, and a Terminal Velocity drilled 4 1/2 x 4(4-1/2" pin). In all honesty I really thought the Award Ball would drop between the Heist and the Code. Bowled on a fresh THS, clean backends, got loose with both the Heist and TV, the TV is about 3 boards stronger than the Heist, both box finish, the Ab just absolutely blew me away, as well as the TV and the Heist. Tried the same line I use with the Heist, first ball went face up, moved 2 & 2, cut the head pin off the 3 pin, moved 3 & 3, proceeded to throw 7 straight flush strikes before pinging a 10. All I can say is this ball is something totally radical from what I had expected.

The core is a totally new design, a brain child of Danny and Nick, the core numbers were given as 2.501 - .049, the cover is a Super-Flex or S40 base with some goodies added. Upon hearing the core numbers and cover I initally was not overly impressed, really thought it would be something along the lines of the old C300 Messenger series, about three light years off with that analogy. After throwing it for a few games I still catch myself wondering how it could be so strong, stronger than anything I have drilled and currently use. It sets up with an excellent mid lane roll, heavy, excellent read and a backend that still amazes me, moves like a pearl when it encounters the first dry board, very angular with recovery of a much higher rg differential ball. If you guys have not joined the club you are missing the boat entirely. If you average one honor score a year you must join, the ball is worth three times the $44.00 you have invested, let alone the info contained in Danny's website, so get off the pot and get signed up, there are no gimmicks, just do it you won't be sorry !!

thanks Tracy, spoke to Danny to get all the info, the ball is very special, some of the tech in this ball will be introduced into one or maybe both of the lines at a later date, the core is a real mystery, I wasn't allowed to have a pdf file showing the core shape, so I'm sure it will surface at a date down the road. As the club grows we as members will be allowed input into the next ball to be made, core numbers color and cover, gives the bowler some input as well as the designers of what we would like to see happen next, if you haven't signed up I can assure you it is well worth it !!!

     Glad to hear you enjoy the reaction of the Award Ball.  The reaction does catch the eye both from cover and core. Yes the technology is a new design and it very interesting as a pseudo "half-metrical" ...(let the imagination run!)
