Title: Sport Deluxe Shoes
Post by: zonepro on July 01, 2008, 01:52:28 AM
I was wondering if anyone else has run into a similar issue with their sport deluxe shoes.  I recently purchased a pair, and within a week, the shoes started to tear near where the shoelace anchors are located. I contacted 3G, they asked me to email them a picture, which I did.  They apologized and sent out a replacement pair of shoes.  Excellent service.  Being that its the summer, I am not bowling that much, but the replacement pair is tearing in the exact same spot.  I have probably used them 6 times since I have had them.  Is anyone else having the same issue?  This is my first 3G product, and I want to know if this lack of durability is a common issue with their shoes.

Zone, I personally have not had that issue, although I have returned a few pairs for customers. What I have seen is people putting on the shoes and grabbing and pulling hard on the laces, putting undo stress on the raised eyelets. By pulling on the laces at the arch to snug the laces then pulling the slack out of the laces from the end of the laces before tying seems to eliminate the problem.

I've had mine for 2-3 years and the only problem I've had is the shoe laces got snagged.  Wish I could find a place that sold the shoe laces!

tekneek,
Thanks for the information.  Your suggestion, is actually how I put my shoes on.  Perhaps I just got a bum pair.
