Storm had been pouring Balls for Global for a while; 5 years I think.

Global poured the lower Storm and Roto line balls in Texas. Storm injected a significant amount of cash a few years back into Global. Earlier this year all manufacturing - including Global - moved to Storm as Storm built an expansion on their production facility. No sense having 2 lines and all the extra materials when you can have everything under one roof. This is no surprise.

I would imagine if Storm continues to offer Storm branded shoes, they will now use 3G technology instead of Dexter. No sense in continuing to pay license fees for Dexter tech when you now own your own shoe tech.

The Tropical Surge line was also being made in Mexico (poured by Brunswick I assume.) A family member bought a Tropical Surge black/copper hybrid late last year, and it was made in Mexico. A teammate bought a Tropical Surge pink/purple reactive back in July and it was also made in Mexico. They both had the "Designed in the USA, Made in Mexico" sticker on them.

Yep and some polys as well. Thus why Storm added additional machines to pour in Utah.

I wonder what this means for staffers?
There were some rumors last year that when Sean Rash left Brunswick, Jason Belmonte made it known that he did not want to see Sean Rash sponsored by Storm. Now that 900 Global is a Storm brand, theoretically Jason and Sean work for the same company. This could be an interesting dynamic to watch.
Will 900 Global staffers get to throw 900 Global and Storm (similar to how Brunswick lets their staffers throw any of their 7 brands?) Might be kind of fun to see Belmonte throw 900 Global once in a while...

Guess it's just 3 major bowling manufacturers now....you are either rolling Storm, Brunswick, or Motiv....then there are the smaller boutique brands like Big Bowling, Pyramid, Lane Masters etc...

This news is funny to me. Surprising, no. Funny, yes.
I am a Storm and Rotogrip fan. However, this news does not sit well with me. LOL. Why? Simply put, I vowed not to ever buy another "AMF" bowling ball again because of my "dislike" of their sorry bowling balls. Since the AMF Sumo way back in the day, I have yet to purchase any AMF or 900 Global balls. In fact, I would or could consider purchasing any ball from any other ball company except AMF and 900 Global. Their equipment is always at the bottom of “my†list for choosing my next ball. Period! LOL.
Now that this news has come out, I guess I am now faced with the future decision of purchasing an "extremely disliked" rival ball. To me, it reminds me of when Cleveland Cavaliers fans burned their LeBron jerseys and then had to buy them back when he returned to the team. LOL!
Folks, my dislike for AMF runs deep, but what would you do when you feel like the movies “WHY HIM?†or “Guess who’s coming to dinner?†LMAO! When it comes to me buying a new 900 Global ball, it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. LOL!
Lastly, can you imagine Sean Rash throwing a Storm Pro Motion or Trend and then yelling at a stone 8 or 9 pin after a made spare?... In the words of Sean Rash yelling at Belmonte, “Take that, you bottle biatch!†LMAO! :D 8) :D :o ;D

Once 900G went under the Storm "umbrella", I've just been waiting for the announcement.

No surprise that this happened. I'm definitely glad to see what 900 Global will come out with going forward though. They have definitely put out some really nice equipment the last few years.
