900 Global Truth Tour video and written review
« on: March 14, 2018, 11:40:30 AM »

The 900 Global Truth Tour is the latest addition to the Prime 800 Series. This ball features the Adaptor /C symmetric core and the S78R solid coverstock. The Truth Tour is designed to have control on the lanes and it truly delivers.

I tested this ball on our typical house shot pattern (Kegel Main Street 41’) and the Truth Tour allowed me to play in my comfort zone through all the session. I started laying down the ball close to the second arrow and the Truth Tour provides a strong and early roll that promotes a smooth transition with great continuation when it exits the pattern.

The Truth Tour allowed me to keep the pocket in front of me with great results. The ball provides a strong midlane read and a smooth and predictable backend motion. If I had to use only one word to define the Truth Tour that word would be SMOOTH.

The ball is forgiving when I missed my mark, I just had to make sure to not miss too far left or the ball won’t have enough recovery to hit the pocket. I had better results when I missed inside my target.  The S78R solid coverstock provided enough hook through the oil to create enough angle downlane.

I had a great look with this ball playing straighter and I was able to move right and the ball still had enough recovery to hit the pocket. However, I had to be really accurate to hit the pocket consistently. I feel that the Truth Tour is a great ball to control the breakpoint and a great option to play tighter angles, but when you need to open up the lane, 900 Global has better options like the Badger or the Honey Badger to play steeper angles and create more shape down the lane.

I compared the Truth Tour with the X2. The X2 has a similar motion than the Truth Tour. It is smooth, even and it provides a slow response to friction. The main difference I noticed is that the X2 is a tad cleaner and it has less hook potential. Overall, the X2 is weaker than the Truth Tour.

The Truth Tour will fit into a lot of different bowling styles and it will be a ball that can be used on a great variety of conditions. On a house shot, this ball will be a great option to blend the pattern and fight wet/dry conditions. The Truth Tour will also be a great ball for the tournament bowler. It will be a great weapon to use when you need to control the breakpoint and when you need a smoother motion down the lane.

Whether you are a league bowler or a tournament bowler, The Truth Tour is definitely a ball worth having in your bag.

Thank you for watching!

Great written review and video. I've seen a few videos now, and they all have that same smooth & continuous motion.

I'm getting mine next week, and I am quite excited!
