Hey guys, so like the post title says I'm getting an Inception Pearl for my birthday. I have two questions for the Global Fam:
1. How strong is the cover on this ball?
2. What other asym pearls would you compare this ball to? From the few YouTube videos I saw, it reminds me of an old Storm Paradigm to be honest.
Thank you!

Clean, long, and sharp. Similar to my Hy-Road Pearl but with a more asymmetric defined move on the backend. I think the cover is more of a middle ground strength pearl for them. Good ball on THS.

No Rules Pearl and Trident Quest are the closest in my opinion

Same drilling and surface prep it seems to get more length and more flippy on the backend than my NRP, but that's just my experience.

I agree, but I've also seen flippy No Rules Pearls. It just depends on the bowler

Yep - agreed.

Good feedback guys, thank you. Is this thing able to handle volume at all?
-
It can, it's by no means a weak ball. For most people it seems to fit well as a ball down from your "heavy" oil ball. Globals 74 covers have been good for them
-
The Inceptions were the Dreams 2.0. 74 is going to be aggressive when it finds friction and you can probably use it anywhere.
The Pearl is the only one that actually made me think about drilling it. Good when you need a fast change in direction.

Perfect, thank you. Sounds like this ball will let me open up the lanes when it's time.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Inception Pearl is a bit longer than the OG Dream? I wanted to get my hands on a Dream so bad and just missed an opportunity on one for a great price 4 months ago.
-
I don't know about that. My Dreams were long and my Pearl was absolutely too much for me, and the On is a heavy oil ball only when I need response downlane. No other ball I've EVER thrown works the way my On does.
The IP, compared to the Dream, seems a bit less sensitive, but still maintains angle downlane.
As always, knock that stupid OOB shine off and redo the surface.

I haven't gotten into a DCT Pearl yet, but I have to imagine it will be a bit more angular than the Inception Pearl. I found my Inception Pearl to be a little smoother than a Dream. Essentially, I could take the Inception Pearl and use it were I had left off with the Inception Solid. The IP didn't strike me as super angular, but really clean through the heads.

Ive drilled 1 already and got a chance to throw it ball rolls very nice It wasnt mine so I didnt throw it all that much but if it was I would knock the shine off the ball for sure seem to get down the lane more then I was wanting but a surface change fixes that problem will drill mine this week 30 X 4.5 X 25

Got to punch and throw the Inception Pearl - my initial feedback is that this ball is reallll nice. Easy length and a strong motion down lane. It seems allergic to oil down lane (think fresh shots or carry down).
Here's a vid I took last night after I got comfy throwing it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1v3kD-Ybsc5klQOHbZcOY0wvV4o8n1bLm
Thanks again to everyone for the help!
