Urethane vs short pin
« on: November 19, 2019, 03:30:49 PM »
I've been thinking about how to best showcase the differences with this.

Then, I remembered that we have the ability to compare and contrast!

Would anyone be interested in seeing the difference between a Honey Badger Urethane and a short pin to pap Claw or Money Badger Tour? I'm leaning more towards a Claw because the core is exactly the same as the HBU.

Drill the urethane 50*4*40, Drill the reactive 50*1.5*40. Angles would be the same, just the pin to pap would be different.

What say you, 900 G brothers and sisters?

Yeah unless you are lefty with a rev rate of 400+ urethane is going to be very condition specific.  As mentioned getting deep with urethane is not really an option.  Still enjoy throwing urethane in practice though but to score with yeah not so much.

I've used a Purple as deep as 5th arrow, but that's not something I would normally do. The condition I saw allow me to start around 2nd arrow and just continue to chase and keep my angles more closed. (Note: This was also in college, near flat bowling alley at a center where the gutters don't hook.) But I do agree that short pin reactives are more versatile. Urethane is definitely oversused in leagues though from the complaining I hear from others.
